Played here today around 430pm. $14 for twilight golf is a cheap deal and its cheap for a reason. Some fairways have almost no grass and you are playing from sand. Yet, some holes are in great condition. Once you get past the first 4 holes things get a little better. The greens are far from smooth but well trimmed.
If you want a quick round and dont mind some shocking fairways then give it a go.
PROS
- quick round
Cons
- Poor fairways
- poor greens

Played here a few days ago and found the course in reasonable condition given that it is a council owned and operated course. We had no troubles getting one as there were not many playing. Some of the fairways are a bit bear, as is most of the rough. The greens are OK – but like a lot of public courses some players don’t fix pitch marks. There are some long par 5’s and 4’s that provide some challenges and as the name suggests there are a lot of trees if you stray.

thought it was enjoyable, played there a couple sundays ago in a social group and was impressed with quality of cousre. think for what the course is they are doing a good job. the greens were long due to coring and topdressing and lookin really lush and green. fairways were going good considering there is not much water. the sausage and egg roll i had between 9 and 10 was awsome.

Played there on Sunday and was very impressed with the lushness of the fairways and greens. I recommend it for all beginners and those who like to hit long. There is a shortage of hazards and bunkers which can take the bite out of the course, but otherwise it was great. The staff are welcoming and friendly and I highly recommend the sausage sizzel. A suggestion; book early for a buggy

Played here for the first time in years and the course hasn’t changed much except for the dam between the 10th and 18th fairways which is now a lot bigger.
Not as easy as it looks. There may be no bunkers, but plenty of trouble if you stray off the fairway.Greens are in great shape for a course run by a council, fairways still need a bit more rain.

I think its not bad for a beginners course. No bunkers and not that difficult. Conditions are dry, but we are on Water Restrictions and having 40c + days in Sydney.
We booked in to play on a Sunday and had no problems getting on. There was quite a few people playing, but what do can you expect for a very cheaps public course.
I liked it

Measuring a Par 72 5609m with5 Par 3s ranging from 102-164m, 8 Par 4s ranging from 310-385 metres and 5 Par 5s ranging from 400-470 metres.
Fairways are extremely poor with dirt patches along most fairways. Soils are thinly covered and the lie of the ball is a lottery. Greens can be slow and all are very flat. Although, the grass around the greens are very well trimmed, making chipping onto these flat greens quite easy. Tee-beds are average, with the worst being the 7th hole 102 metres having an artificial mat similar to driving ranges! Holes 11, 12, 13, 14 are just up and back with no imagination needed. The fairways are so tight and undulating that a good lie is near impossible. NO bunkers guard the greens which makes this course no great challenge to the golfer. Water comes into play (slightly) on the 1st, 9th, 10th & 14th holes.
Played here on Saturday 10th December 2005 and paid $22 and took 4.5 hours to play with all the queue delays, otherwise on weekdays it costs $18.50. No booking is required and a rock-up start policy is in place at the moment.

I have play this course with my mate on Sunday afternoon. We played from the back tees. Fairway is a bit patchy and the greens are a bit slow. However, it is not bad at all. I will definitely come back to play this course again.

A reasonable layout ruined by tiny greens and poor fairways.
Tufts of grass within metres of the ridiculously small greens ensure that every approach shot is a lottery. Either you land on the green and it runs off the back or you land short and hope for the best.
Typically of public courses, it tries to cram in too much length into land that doesn't fit it, so fairways are narrow but with adjacent fairways too close.
Still, you get what you pay for and it's not as claustrophobic as other public courses.

A public course. Suffering very much in the current dry conditions, although the greens are OK condition.
The course is not too challenging (few bunkers, hazards etc) and is a good location for beginners. It has enough length for more advanced players to be required to hit a good variety of shots too.
There are some interesting holes, but the layout suffers from having several parallel par 5's on the back nine.
The most dissapointing thing I saw on this course is large areas of gravel in the wooded areas between fairways. I can only guess that someone from the local council decided that it was a good idea to dump a truckload of roadbase on a golf course. The damage to the base of my four-iron will be a constant reminder.

Woodville is my home course, I play it weekly. At the moment it is not in good shape with the drout effectingthe fair ways and even dryingout the water hazard...
I recommend this course for beginners as it isn't the most difficult of courses, it's farliy short... but can be challenging at time's...
The green's arn't in bad shape, and it has a very friendly staff, if the tee's and fairways to where to be improved (needing rain) this course may be one of hte best courses for beginners around...

A really average public course. Good for beginners, but no one else.

Played here 28/12/11.
As far as council run courses go, this is one of the better ones I have played on. In pretty good condition with the recent rains. A few of the fairways have some rough areas but I expected this going in. Greens in good condition. Slowish with quite a spongy surface.
For $22/18 holes on a weekday, its a pretty good deal. Not overly busy with most golfers understanding the rules [i.e. allowing others to play through etc.] allowed for an enjoyable morning of golf.
