Played here on the weekend, great course, excellent value for money ($26 for 18 holes), ever after the heavy rain on Friday/Saturday course was in excellent condition, greens were great, fairly open Front 9 with some room for error off the tee, back 9 more of a challenged, would highly recommend, freindly staff as well.

played here today. what a gem of the course. i would never had thought to play til recently when someone recommended it. I have to say, the lay out is as good as anywhere I’ve played.I pelted rain for an hour or so, so the course was fairly soggy underfoot, but that can’t be helped. The fairways were not spectacular, but i can live with that. Loved the 17th. took a double, but what a hole. risk versus reward. I will definately play there again, hopefuly in better weather conditions. The members i met were top people too, very friendly and welcoming, as was the club pro.

A neat little course whose opening three holes seem uninspiring, but which begins to really show itself from the fourth onwards. I thoroughly enjoyed my round, which was boosted by the fantastic $14.50 all-you-can-play green fees on offer on Mondays. Maybe because of this there were plenty of golfers around, all of whom showed complete courtesy in letting me (as a single) play through. The sequences from 4 through to 9 and from 11 to 14 were a highlight to me as well as the signature double-dogleg 17. Course conditioning was not bad for a mid-range course, with only some bald patches on a few fairways and the temporary 15th layout detracting from an otherwise lush layout. Will be back again, mainly due to proximity but also for the great value round.
PROS
- Elevation changes from hole 6 onwards
- Stunning value
- Friendly locals
Cons
- Bland opening holes

I am a member at Caboolture and would just to rectify a few untruths told by STACE and TRENT_GILES. 1. Whose greens are great when you core them? The greens 10 months of the year are truly superb. 2. There are no temporary tees and ours are fine. 3. A downhill drive of 290 metres on the 17th? I think not! The hole is dead flat and is not downhill at all! There are no trees in the fairway the fairway is an “s” shape. It is a par 5 so after you drive 290m (further than the PGA tour average by 23M by the way) you can play a cut shot at the green to get there in 2 or play an iron to the corner for a 100m straight approach shot for your third shot. (Remember it is a par 5 so you are supposed to get there in 3 not 2 shots.) 4. The 13th hole is being moved, the first step was moving the fairway and then the green will be moved. Until then it is a 444m Dogleg Par 4! I challenge anyone to find better value for money!

I liked the zigzagging 17th hole. There are a few temporary tees at the moment and the holes have been cored. Signage was poor. I agree with endzaz who said the 13th is a bit confusing. Good length holes for ladies.

For $23 with a cart-midweek (18 holes), a bargain I thought. However, the course is in terrible condition at this time from fairways to the greens. The greens are brown, they have a muddy/silty layer on them, no 2 putts stayed on line and the back nine is a farm apart from 2 lengthy par 3’s. I thought the signature hole being 17 is a joke. At 470m from the back, I hit a great drive downhill of about 290m. I am in the middle left of the fairway and you have no shot unless you want to hit a punch cut 3 iron to the green as there is a large tree in front of you? Having trees in the middle of a fairway is a no-brainer.

Played this course last week and for my first foray into golf I had an absolute ball. The course was in good condition the fairways dished up good lies, when I actually got on them and the greens ran straight, for my playing partners anyway.
Having only seen one other course recently I was really impressed with all of Caboolture’s holes. The 17th and 18th are among the best another I thought was really good must have been 11 from memory but it was nearly equal to 17 and 18.
All up good value and a superb course very testing for a beginner and i would expect it would through up a challange for a more seasoned player. I’m giving this course 4 stars because there wasn’t much wrong with it. I take the rating system to rate the course not a system of comparing on course to another.

Having never played this course I was thoroughly suprised and pleased to see the quality of caboolture. Fairways and greens ran straight and true and although a little damp in places considering the deluge of rain we’ve had recently the course was in god contidion. Despite the signature hole being shortened due to renovations this course is enjoyable and challenging for all levels of golfer. A little short from the social tees, caboolture plays to a good length off the men’s tees. The Eighteenth is a great hole to play as it’s a 45 degree uphill par 3, with a viewing gallery from the clubhouse. Outer Brisbane’s only stadium hole! Despite some cranky exceptions ( what’s with Sunday Morning frustration anyway?) the members and staff were friendly and courteous and easy to get along with. I played a social round on Sunday, wouldn’t reccomend as it tok me an hour to get around the back as I teed on ten, and three hours to get around the front 9, trailing 150 social comp. players.

Caboolture is one of the, if not THE, best value golf course in Brisbane! The course is in excellent shape for most of the year, and to still pay less than $20 for a round is excellent! Not a long course, but some very testing holes. And the 17th is a super signature hole.
PROS
- Best value for money around.
- Great Shape
Cons
- Bit of a travel for even northside of Brisbane people.

If you are staying this way, then this course is defintely worth a look. It has many dog legs, water hazards and ob's to contend with! The par 3's are challenging with 2 of them just over 180m. It is in excellent condition and the greens are some of the finest you will play on. For a good members course it is A1. Other reviewers have rated it a 4 or 5 which is a joke because it is not up with Royal Melbourne, The Glades Huntingdale etc but it is one of the best members course around and is very affordable at $18 for 18 holes social at the time of writing this review. If I could give it 3 and 1/2 I would!

Coming to the course, i wasn't expecting much. As a result, i was pleasantly surprised by all 18 holes! Caboolture's holes are interesting to play, and challenging, making them a welcome change from some of the straight up and down courses around Brisbane. Dog legs, high tee positions, gradual and extreme sloping fairways - every hole is unique! The 18th is great fun - a 45 degree uphill par 3. The 17th is also a fun challenge, being a double dog leg.
Considering the price, i think Caboolture is excellent value for money!

Although my review may seem biased because i am a member there, Caboolture is a challenging course that can catch you if your not careful. The 17th is a great hole providing a wide array of challenges. As for the 13th, it is currently under some design changes with the original fairway becoming a driving range and a new fairway soon to go in to the left of that bringing water into play. The changes will make the hole much better and will cause it to blend more with the rest of the course. Every week i can't wait to play at Caboolture because of the challenges it produces. Even recent winner on the US Tour, Rod Pampling, our ex greenkeeper, has struggled on this course.

Caboolture Golf Club would have to be one of those courses that could surprise those willing to take up the challenge. The course, although very dry at the time I played it, offered some unique challenges with regards to course management. The 1st requires good placement if one is to have an approach shot to the green. The 17th is a double dog leg hole par 5. The tee shot landing zone is onto a narrow patch of fairway that steeply slopes either side into hazards that can swallow one to two shots. The second shot required is virtually straight at a fairway bunker and more hazard before the final approach to the green that is bordered by water to the right.
The 18th although a short par three is seemingly straight up, onto a green with a blind flag placement. The 13th hole leaves some to be desired as it appears to be that your hitting into a cow paddock with a mown area. All up this one hole can be forgiven when compared to the rest of the course.
The course is well designed and would appear to be very well organised as far as competitions. This being one of the few courses I have come across that have the women members ball spotting and marshalling during a Sunday district comp.

After reading the reviews on here I thought I had arrived on a completely different golf course. Sure, its in reasonable nick, but truly a forgettable course. Nothing really challenging here for the regular golfer, but a great course if you’re taking someone new to the game and yes its cheap. Reminded me a lot of North Adelaides North Course (but in better nick), so if you’re familiar with you’ll know what I’m talking about. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying its horrible, or in bad condition, but I wouldn’t play there unless I was playing with someone learning the game (which is why I was there). From a personal point of view I just found it a bit uninspired.
