After growing up in this region and now living in Melb, I was looking forward to playing Rich river. Although the course does not rate compared to some of the Melbourne Sandbelt courses, for about $20 mid week this is a ripper. The course was immaculately turned out, with all amenities being there. The staff where fantastic and this is a place you can play everyday. The layout is good, played with a local which helped a lot.

I've played the West (or Old) course at Rich River a few times in the past couple of years, and despite the fact that some it's getting a bit 'tired' (along with other Murray favourites Cobram Barooga & Yarrawonga, as well), I still think it's a pleasure to play.
The immaculately groomed fairways, lined with mature gums and native trees once cost me my worst round ever (133 - yes, that's right, and I was only playing off 20 as well!) - but even then I enjoyed the course, even though I would as easily have blown it up, along with my clubs!
Also, with green fees at $30, it's great value, along with so many other Murray courses.
