Robina Woods Golf Course opened in January of 1990. Designed by Graham Marsh & Ross Watson, this course presents a truly unique golfing experience as it has been carved out of the original woodlands, making every hole a unique challenge for any accomplished golfer.
Carved out of 65 hectares of native woodlands, with fairways lined by towering gum trees, this unique layout is unlike any resort course on the Gold Coast. Possessing maturity well beyond its years, Robina Woods has rapidly developed a reputation as one of Queensland’s best-loved resort courses.
Consistently ranked in the top 25 resort courses in the country, Robina Woods is a 6078 meter, 18 hole, Par 71 championship golf course, designed by the Marsh / Watson team.
The rolling fairways, manicured greens, and towering eucalyptus are strikingly beautiful and blend harmoniously with the surrounding residential development. A natural water-course featuring lakes, ponds, creeks and native wildlife completes a rare golf course environment.
The facility features a fleet of electric carts, two tennis courts, driving range with sun protection cover and practice facilities, golf shop fully stocked with the latest equipment & merchandise, a club bar & bistro which includes alfresco dining on the terrace, as well as the Fairway and the Lakeview function rooms.

Just returned from the Gold Coast where they’ve had huge amounts of rain, I was lucky enough to get on at Robina Woods to play in between down pours and I can say it was awesome considering the conditions. Very green and very challenging – look forward to returning when it’s dry to compare….

I played Robina in mid March 08 for the second time and was slightly disapointed. The greens were extremly slow and I found that quite a few of the short par fours were tricked up to the point I hit 7 iron then wedge on one. The last two holes are great but I can’t say I will be back when I revisit the Gold Coast
PROS
- Its not like the other resort courses in the area
- Great finishing holes
Cons
- Slow slow greens
- Tricked up short par fours

Played over the weekend on a 3 course trip from Sydney (also played the Glades and Hope). Definitely a tight well designed course. Greens were a little on the slow side. A very enjoyable day overall.
PROS
- A golfers course. Very tight with lots of challenges.
Cons
- Impossible to find yardage markers. Clubhouse facilies not very nice (lockeroom/shower)

play over easter weekend, the course was in great condition. i really enjoyed it, nearly every hole makes you think and plan. i appreciated the variety of holes. we played royal pines the day before and would much rather play Robina. it is tight in alot of places, and penalises wayward shots more than most courses i have played … but i would rank in my top 5

Played the course in early feb after all the rain so it was nice and lush.I think this is one of the best courses on the coast, with a great layout and some very different holes to the norm (on the coast). If you can avoid the woods of the tee you may still have a tricky shot to an elevated green. Great use of hazards and natural landscapes.Great service and course.

Played in Jan 2008, Great course! Was warned that it is a tough track that makes you think off the tee. Some very tight tree lined dog leg fairways, mixed in with some open driving holes made it a great experience. Great par 5 finishing hole!!

Played robina woods just after all the flooding rain that closed colonial the course we supposed to play that day. The course was tough due to the fact that they had not been able to get the machinary on due to the weather. This is agreat layout tight fairways heavy rough due to no mowing but agreat experience all the same. the greens are quick with plenty of break to keep you on your toes. I will be back to play this course again, cant wait to seehow it plays when they have been able to get it back to prime condition.

At last a Gold Coast golf course that can honestly call itself a Golf Course and not just another “Resort Course” This is without a doubt one of the best golf courses in Qld. The way it winds it’s way through the rain forest up, over and down the many hills and valleys creates some extraudinary views from the elevated tees and the challenges are just as varying. This is a must play course if you are visiting the Gold Coast.
PROS
- Views, Layout & friendly members and staff

What a great golf course! It has so much variation between the holes with elevated tees, elevated greens, undulations, doglegs well placed hazards & beautiful layout.
This course meanders through a bush & rainforest setting with a many holes not running directly beside another hole. A pretty clubhouse, well equiped pro shop & a very friendly team of staff members as well.

Played here in Nov 07. Obviously a great course – as you would expect from a course of this standard. The pro shop is reasonably priced. Good food too.

Very scenic, set in a forest. Nice layout, with rough that won’t devour your ball, and not much water. So you shouldn’t lose too many balls.
One problem: very few distance markers on the course. How difficult is it to put distances on sprinkler heads? The only marker on most holes was the 150m stake, so most of the time was spent guessing what the distance was.

Played Robina Woods Oct 2006. What a fantastic course. You wouldn't believe your in the middle of the Gold Coast, with most holes surrounded in trees.
Fairways were lush, greens were in great shape. Excellent service and clubhouse.
The last 2 holes are absolute crackers. Nothing better than looking down the 18th to the clubhouse.
Do yourself a favour and have a round!

For an area that has more resort courses than you can poke a stick at, this is superb. Where it is not quite as good in the manicuring as the resort courses (it is still very good in that department), it more than makes up for in the course design. Instead of playing at the one elevation like a resort course, you are treated to many tee and green elevation changes which make the experience 3 dimensional instead of 2 dimensional. Fantastic!

Played Robina Woods in April 06 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The front nine wound its way through many interesting holes that from the back tees made for some very fantastic driving holes. The back nine started rather tamely but finished with a crescendo with two fantastic finishing holes in the par 17th all down hill to a narrow green and the 18th Par 5 that just sits there and says âÄúbring it onâÄ?. All in all a great experience and apart from the triple bogey on the last where I tried to go for the green in two and failed spectacularly I thought the course was an excellent lay out and in very good condition.

What a joy to play a golf course that wasn't just another "man-made" / flat / boring sculptured resort style golf course!
Robina Woods from the service at the golf shop to the cleansing beer in the bar afterwards lived up to its ranking one of the Top 25 Resort Golf Courses in Australia - certainly worthy of having hosted the Australian TPC some years back.
The front 9 wound its way through natural bushland with sloping greens testing all the shapes in the bag, while the back 9 was open at first then closed in to feature some spectacular elevated tee-shots and before the closing Par 5 18th played back towards their signature clubhouse.
I'll certainly be back next time I'm on the Golden "Golf" Coast...

Played at Robina Woods last week. Like all courses on the Gold Coast, I recommend early morning tee offs to avoid the crowds and the weather. Great set of holes to open the front nine. Good challenge for a high teens handicapper like myself, but was an enjoyable round all the same. Probably one of the better value golf rounds in the area.

A lot of people rave about Robina Woods. It's been a couple of years since I played it, but my memory of it was that I was a little disappointed, and feel there are a number of courses on the Gold Coast comfortably better than Robina.
The front nine is pretty, winding through the forest, but I found the green conditions less than ideal. The back nine is, other than the eighteenth, quite uninspiring, and I thought no different from an average parkland member's course.
It's certainly worthwhile a game at Robina if you are on a golf trip, but becalm your expectations and you'll enjoy it more. And if you've only got one day to play, I'd look elsewhere...

No trip to the Gold Coast would be complete without a game at Robina Woods. It is a course of 2 different nines. I just loved the way the front nine winds among the timber using the natural lay of the land to shape the holes.
The back nine starts a little more open and you encouter a bit of water before 2 great finishing holes. A down hill Par 3 and a great par 5. Watch out for the bunkers to catch your drive at the base of the hill.
It was great to enjoy a beer and watch the rest of the group come down 18. One the prettiest sights looking back up 18 you will encounter. I loved it.

Played Robina Woods today 4/06/08. Gold Coast is just getting over some heavy rain. The course was in great condition, greens were a little slow, but fairways at tight and makes you think if you should take out the driver or not on some holes. Play was a little slow but the 18th hole was worth the wait. Great finishing hole.
