Measured Par 35 2427m with three Par 3s ranging from 110-190m, four Par 4s ranging from 270-360m and 2 Par 5s ranging from 430-480m. Course is fairly easy with flat, bone-dry brown-yellow fairways, slow upside-down saucerlike grass greens, with not too bad teebeds. Some holes have good length, but the bunker-green complex is not planned at all. First 3 holes are flat and straight, with good fairways typical of some metropolitan courses, holes 4-9 you cross the driveway to the recreation club and play around the tennis courts, rec club and showground.
Best hole is probably the 430m Par 5 6th which doglegs to the left adjacent to the Hunter River with nice views, green is guarded by left and rightside bunkers. The Par 4s are less demanding and are all straightish. No water hazards, fairway bunkering, elevated tees/greens or even lay-up options. Just hit it straight, and run it up to the green and you are in good shape.
Played here 7/4/06 and paid $10 for 9 holes. It is located in town and has bar facilities in the recreation club. Groundstaff on the course get annoyed when you pay the green fees at the rec club, and not the tin shed they like to call the ëproshopí. But, apart from that, a fairly ok course for a social hit.
