OI just played the course and it is very short as I’m not the biggest hitter of the ball and found it quite easy to get to the greens in 2. A lot of par 3’s or the 9 hole course but in great condition and fantastic views of the coast line from holes 3 – 8

Good short little course with beautiful views of the coast line. Beware though of the wind it really picks up and can easly have an effect on your round. Also the greens are as slow as anything not what im used to on the Bellarine Peninsula

This course is fantastic value for money. Decent tee’s and fairways and very nice greens wich are strategically very small make for a good round of golf. The views from some of the tee’s and greens make it well worth a hit if your holidaying in the area. Not a difficult course, im a 16 handicapper and went around in 3 over par but if the wind was to blow that score could easily be 13 over. Good fun a good price.

First saw this couirse whilst on a dog walk and thought it looked pretty straight and average. Soon after I had a game and was surprised by the enjoyment I got from it.
Some basic holes towards the end of the 9 holes but the first 3 holes are very good. The 3rd would be the pick of them with the green/s (it is more or less a 10 hole course)perched right up on the point overlooking the beach (as are numerous tees ).
Fairways & greens in pretty good condition for this type of course.
They make good use of the small amount of land available to them with well placed tees to add some variety if playing 18 holes.
Good value for $12 for 9 holes.

While the course is definately not long, its exposed position on the coast can play havoc with club selection. On a windy day many a player needs a long iron or wood to reach the 1st, all 122 metres. On a calm day its a great course for beginners and a chance to hone the short irons for the better player. Greens/fairways in great condition. Always a pleasure, regardless of the weather.

This course has nine greens and utilizes two teeing areas for each hole.
The course is fairly short in comparison to todays standard but can be a real challenge in windy conditions as it is right on the coast line.
Always maintained in very good condition.
Well worth playing while on your travels along the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy.

Measures 2119m Par 32 with four par 3s ranging from 122-211m with five par 4s ranging from 255-311m. The greens here are extremely slow and is in much need of a trim. The fairways and teeboxes are adequate but a little bare in patches.
With a town population of around 2000 the course is short and reminds me of some of Tasmania’s small town little gem 9-holers. It is located with a marina/harbour to the north and the ocean to the east and south.
The course is exposed to the wind and its only got 7 bunkers on the course! If the course quicken its greens and adds a few more bunkers, I feel Apollo Bay could be more challenging than Lorne.
Highlights include the 211m par 3 7th with a bunker left to a small green with OOB rocky/sandy beach over the back.
The 3rd hole is over the road with the marina on the left has 2 greens: the bunkerless 3rd green is over the mound to the left, whilst the 15th green is straight in front of the tee with a bunker 20m short of the green with the OOB along the left. You have to learn to pitch into these small greens to enjoy yourself here.
The course is not difficult and is a good course to learn to play, until the winds pick up. The holes over the road can be tight with no tree over 10 metres in height on the course, it has a tiny links-style feel.
Played here 9/8/2010 and paid $15 for 9 holes. It is a good stop-over spot for an hour’s hit and giggle.
