Basically a flat course with one small hill providing a rise on 3 of the holes. A true test of all levels of golfer abilities. The course is presented in great condition throughout the year following subtle improvements over recent years. Open competitions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Sundays.
The first Thursday of the month is Ashlar Blue Plate Challenge day, a single stroke event played of the back tee plates. Over $1,000.00 in trophy vouchers available on these days.
Social golfers welcome seven days a week outside competition times. All information for the members and their guests.

This course hasn’t been reviewed in a while. I have played here a bit over the last 6months and have found it to be a good test of golf. The current special for the open comp of $20 is very reasonable. The fairways and greens are in condition. However the 1st & 5th green have been redone after the storms in late 2007 and it is almost impossible for the ball to stay on the green! The staff are friendly and the clubhouse is nice. At over $1000 to join though, it is out of my price range.

Well played in the Tuesday comp there yesterday and yes there are remnants of all the work involving the Fairway watering around the course but that is too be expected and the course will be all the better for it. By Xmas time the course will be in great condition in my opinion.
That said it is a course that requires the player to get off the tee before they worry about anything else about their game, get just off the fairway into the treeline and bogey is a good score, happened to me a bit in the middle of my round yesterday. Some tricky greens too, hit to the wrong level and you are almost dead.
Will go back there again for sure.

Measures 6068m Par 71 from back ble plates now with 5 Par 3s ranging from 1503-197m, 9 Par 4s ranging from 320-420m and four Par 5s ranging from 455-510m.
Most holes have slight dogleg turns in them, and the course has a creek that meanders through the courseand comes into play on the first half dozen holes.
Par 5s here do not provide a challenge here and found myself on in regulation with even some careless hitting on the hole! Par 3s are testy, and par 4s are a little boring with a few doglegs but mostly with the same strategy.
Greens here were 2-paced but in FAIRLY good condition, the teebeds needed a trim in most cases and the fairways today was not that great, with many dirt mounds, that looked like GURS but were not. Preferred lies within 30cm, needed more than that.
Holes worthy of note -153m 2nd with 5 greenside bunkers with creek clearance, best bunkered hole on the course. Closing 3 holes index 1, 3 and 5 respectively) are a good challenge. But apart from that the back nine is unimaginative with bunkerless greens (11th, 12th, 14th, 16th) and linear lines of thought.
Played here 18/8/06 and paid $28 green fees which is not too bad value for such a course. May be back if inprovements are done, and will play at dawn as it can be frustratingly slow play by some members here.

In some places a challenging layout with somew interesting holes but could use more manicuring. Some of the tees and fairways are a bot dodgy and greens are not always true to read

I have just quit my membership of a year due to the totall rude and almost arrogant attitude of a lot of the staff (the older ones). Including both the clubhouse and admin. Even the bar staff have problems. It is a good course to play and is normally in good condition, but is hard to fully enjoy it knowing that such people are running it.

This course is extremely well kept with some of the best fairways I've played on. The greens are generally fast and accurate. Mainly flat and flanked with light woodlands this course demands accurate golf to score well.

Due to dry weather the course has suffered.
Damage by the Corella's has not helped.
Players need to be able to Draw and Fade the golf balls
Hitters of the ball for 200 to 240 metres will have no trouble making a acceptable score
Putting, the need for control on greens that are running fast but easily read if you have understanding of greens
Overall a challenging but manageable course if experienced.

Fairways are well above par decent on this course (divots come up a treat!) It's a well structured course which plays well at a nice pace.

An absolute delight to play on. Structure of the course is challenging for most golfer abilities. Fairways are keptn in immaculate condition and the greens are rather fast. A misjudgment in reading the green may see you off it!

The course is in magnificient order at present with the greens having been corred recently and now in top order, undulating and resonably quick. Fairways are excellent with a light rough and a few trees along the fairway rough have been felled, which is helpful! A must is your short game, up & down in regulation will give you a great score.

Top class course in fine condition. Something for golfers of all ability, you have to think your way around Ashlar if you want to score low. Only downside is popularity, be prepared to get held up. You wont get through 18 in close 4 hours.

Nice course in the west of Sydney that requires accuracy from the tee to score well. Some long par 3's will make keeping to par difficult. A good short (esp. chipping) a must around here.
Normally in reasonable condition, I'm sure you will enjoy the challenge.

Great course, well maintained, challenging. Good facilities. Pity the toilet on hole 1 tee does not keep lights or soap and early in the morning there is no other toilet.
