It was a real pleasure playing Babinda’s par 72 course. The club were very welcoming and the course layout is quite interesting and challenging. The two streams running through the course come into play on 4 holes and in particular the par 5 3rd. This 485m hole is made harder by the location of the streams. Just laying up on both still leaves you a long iron to the green on your 3rd shot. Although most fairways are pretty open, the course does possess little pockets of thick scrub which punishes wayward shots. The greens aren’t ’resort’ standard and are surrounded by thick buffalo grass making for challenging chip shots onto the putting surface. A relaxing round surrounded by mountains and sugar cane is on offer. Well worth a hit.

The Babinda Golf course is a great course to play. It's fairways are always green and well looked after as are the greens. The poeple that play and work there are always friendly. The backdrop is amazing. Moutians covered in lush tropical rain forest. I try to play at Babinda once a week. Babinda has a number of people get together on Sundays to play 9 holes then have a BBQ. It's great. If you get the chance call in and play. Keep golfing.
