Unfortunately this track is in poor condition and has a boring layout. It is however, priced accordingly and is good value for a round of golf in the afternoon without a lot of trafffic. I do like how the proshop has plenty of good brands in stock.

Much improved track, so much so that i’m becoming a member. much work gone into the fairways and greens and i’m sure they’ll improve more in time. Bunkers need some work but other than that it’s a top layout and could potentially be a brilliant course. Friendly staff, great bar facilities, extremely reasonable membership prices and comp four days a week. Yep that’ll do me.
PROS
- No Crowds. Comp four days a week. Friendly staff. Great 19th hole.
Cons
- Bunkers need some attention.

I suppose I better write a review of the course nearest to my house. I am a member so I thought I’d better add that.
Previous reviewer I think may have been a little harsh, but it’s their opinion and entitled to it. Although I’m struggling to think of a non-flat tee box. They’re all pretty good if you ask me…
The course has undergone (and still ungoing) significant recouching of fairways and rehab. I’m led to believe there may have been a new head greenkeeper although can’t confirm. As a result most of the fairways are now good to very good with the exception of maybe one or two.
The greens are also pretty good with quite a few ’hidden’ breaks to keep you on your toes. As a layout, I think it uses the lie of the land very well and there are some great elevated tee shots (2nd and 11th come to mind) and the course provides a decent challenge.
All in all, it is definitely a decent track, and with the ongoing improvements could become an awesome track. I’d recommend if you are in the area that a hit would be in order.

I played this course on the 14th of June and was very dissappointed. Impossible to tell the differernce between the fairways and the rough, what grass that was on the fairways was very patchy at best. A flat teeing area was a godsend because there was only about 3 of them. However I will say the greens were fantastic. Design of the course was good, but the condition of the course made what could have been a very enjoyable round into a frustrating 4.5 hours.

I played Bacchus Marsh on 28th Sept and found it a nice little course. Of course a couple of fairways are a little dry with our lack of rain, but it’s an interesting course which is fairly up and down but not to severe. The greens were nearly all great but at worst they were good so no complaints there. The staff were friendly along with members who were around and it was not to busy so it was a nice relaxing round of golf. For $23 it is worth the drive and I will go back to have another round in the future.

I became a member there in April 2008 when I first played it i was pretty disappointed in the condition of the fairways. But with the rain we have had in the last 2 years the course is in fanastic nic and well worth the membership fees. The club has a new pro last year and all the members are very welcoming to new members and green fee players.
