Good track. Good fast greens. Only played the back nine but there are a few holes with really great views. Very quiet so got around fast. Course is about 15 minutes out of Bairnsdale on the road to Paynesville. Some challenging long holes

Probably the best kept secret in Gippsland. Beautifully maintained greens, clever layout that tests all the clubs in your bag. Long Par 4’s mixed with tough Par 3’s make it an enjoyable place to play.

Have never had problems with the mozzies, but they always seem to come up in conversation about Bairnsdale Golf Club. Lakes Entrance gets all the hype and deservably so, but Bairnsdale is very much worth a drive down Paynesville Road to play!!

We played on the Australia day weekend before a wedding. We hit off the back 9 and the first 4 holes were great. Then a wind came up and it all went to hell in a basket. Course was not sent up for the unusual wind direction. No ones fault. Good fairways and interesting holes. Bunker shots become a lottery with the wind as downwind you couldn’t hold the green. Good proshop and fine country clubhouse with cold beers. A lot of long par 4s and plenty of trees. Not much water. Happy to play it again but if the wind springs up from the south stay in bed. Big mozzies seen but disappeared when the wind got up.

A truly wonderful golfing experience!!!! Very friendly locals, not a mozzie in sight. Would have to be some of the best fairways in country Victoria. Don’t miss this exciting and challenging course. Simon Gilding

Played recently when they had their $10 for 18 hole special on Mondays and Fridays. Found the course in excellent condition and after hearing for years about the big mozzie problem we didn't encounter one. Lucky or have they had a spraying campaign? Hope they have the $10 special again next year after the silly season is over.

Bairnsdale is a beautiful course with excellent fairways and greens. Locals are very friendly to visitors and everything would be perfect if it wasn't for the bloody mozzies. Don't forget the aerogard.

This course has improved greatly over the years. It now boasts couch fairways and a challenging layout. Conducts a Pro Am each year and many visiting golfers also comment very favourably.
