It’s cheap, but for good reasons: sand scrapes in place of greens, two token dams and not a single bunker. The biggest factor in play though is the scrapes. These remove any ability to attack a green and luck affects the outcome significantly. As all of the scrapes are flat is a matter of simply hitting the ball very hard down the smoothed ‘runway’ to the hole.

The course is located on Defence land and is really just a part-time course and isn’t designed to be anything flash. It’s a 5771m par 71 (36 35) course with ACR 69. Basic golf.

You will see a sheep or 2 or a kangaroo but it is a long swim and walk from Flinders island.

Limited access to public but can be invited as it is on Defence property. Been developing over many years. Still has sand scrapes. Flattish course with a friendly little club house. don't except much but it's ok for about $6.00 a round. Weather is also ok so course in good condition all year round, although bring the aerogard.
