13 Dec 2010 – Back in Australia after two years, the course is just as good as I remember, so good I played 36 holes walking. I always have such an enjoyable experience when I play here. The greens are in excellent shape, fast but receptive. The fairways are in good shape, better than I remember, probably due to the irrigation improvement project recently completed. Can’t beat a round of golf for $15 after 12 p.m. and it includes a drink ticket! What a way to end a perfect day, sitting in the clubhouse, one eye enjoying the beautiful views with a cold beer in hand, the other eye watching the NFL on the TV.

Really just a pitch and putt course, apart from some par 4’s and a Par 5 on the front nine.
Fairways had alot of sandy patches. The nearby Massey park is a proper course for about the same price.

Overall experience was excellent. I really enjoy this course everytime I play it. Its a beautiful setting as the view from the clubhouse can atest. Playing it feels like a walk in the country listening to the birds song or the quiet as you negotiate your way through the hills and valleys.
The small greens are in excellent condition and difficult to hold on the approach. The fairways were in better shape since I played two weeks ago – probably due to the recent rains.
Played in the open competition on 30 Dec 2008. The three members I played were friendly gentlemen. As present and former officials of the club, a testament to the running of the club. If I lived here, I would seriously consider joining the club.

Played on 16 Dec 2008. Back in Australia for visit after 3 years – second round of golf. Average to good experience. This course is a test in accuracy. Some of the greens are very small. Also you may not always want to hit driver as some of the landing areas are narrow or the ball will roll into the rough. The rough is fairly deep.
Its rare to find what I call a medium size golf course(around 4000 metres, par 64) in America but they are very common here in Australia. I find this length course perfect for higher handicaps, female, junior and senior golfers or for those with who don’t have as much time play a full size course.

This course is getting better with improved fairways and better greens. Give it another 6 months and it should be good value.

Couple of holes currently under construction, so hopefully improvement is in store. Some nice views overlooking the valley on some holes. Could be better maintained, but good for a relaxing afternoon with hardly anyone else on the course when we played.

Played here a couple of times and I hope I don’t have to go back.
The course is a bit of joke. Drives hitting the centre of the fairway should not end up in the trees or way out of position, which happens here on more than one hole. In terms of condition, the greens aren’t too bad but the fairways are almost gone in places and badly kept in others.
I would also like to mention how rude and unhelpful the clubhouse staff were the first time we played here. Meaning that we had a drink elsewhere the second time.

Played couple weeks ago, the worst golf course so far in my list. Hilly, very very bad course layout, and plenty of blind shot!! Specially hole no 2.
Course management is terrible but luckily I paid 1 price for 2 !!
You can get this offer from Shop-a-docket website!! Hurry, it won't last.

Played 15 Oct 06. The greens are spongy and fairway is rocky. You are punished - good or bad shot. Lack of direction posts meant that the group ahead kept getting lost, playing wrong greens and wasting time. At $25, I will rather play at Bexley.

My 2 mates and I are beginners.
You can generally get a social game on Sundays becuase of the hills and time it takes to complete (4+hrs).
Watching our mate drive the 10th tee from the high ground on the 8th tee was hilarious. Looking on in horror as the ball rolled back, 120m, down the hill on the dried out 10th fairway was not.
It is not a very forgiving course for learners, however, as the driving & accuracy have improved we are not inspired to join the club.
For such a spread out course it is disappointing there are no par 5's.

Yes its hilly, short and generally not that well kept but everyone should give it a go just the once. Reminded me of Chatswood a bit but nowhere near as good or challenging.
Lacks consistency i guess some holes are well layed out but others need some work.

After hearing one of the "old" blokes at work rave of his home course, we thought we would give it a go.
Wasn't too impressed, there is better courses within 20 mins drive, for similar if not cheaper green fees.
Course layout isn't TOO bad, but very hilly, and the fairways were very brown. Granted we are in a dry time of the year, but again, other local courses are in much better shape.
I found the greens to be too small, maybe thats just because I am used to greens of a larger siaze, but I fell it really lets this course down.
So uninspired I couldn't even finish my round and gave up after 13 holes!

Course is quite short, with narrow fairways that have a few blind shot approaches to the green. NO Par 5s on the course with the longest hole measuring 377m.
The course has too many par 3s that make the course play slow with many having compulsory call-up holes. To play 4.5 hours on a par 62 for men and par 65 for ladies is too time-consuming.
The best hole is the 19th, with a fantastic view overlooking the course, other than that quite mundane course.

Although a short course you will require a sharp touch to conquer this challenging test of golf. Greens are excellent with the surfaces being fast and true. Well worth a visit to test your game.

I have played this course a few times now and find it has a very
laid back feel to the course and I haven't been held up up by
other players yet. Great course with some tricky holes and a
creek which runs through the course.
Course is in good repair with nice greens and great view from the
19th hole balcony. This course is my away game as I normally play
North Shore courses.

An interesting course where accuracy is a premium off some tees and scoring can be easy if you think about it.
Narrow fairways on some holes can lead to frustration and some par threes can be tricky.
Low lying areas tend to get very boggy when it's wet but overall not a bad course.

Very short course, & quite hilly. A majority of par 3's & short par 4's.
Unless you're desparate, not really worth it.

Great little hidden gem, really enjoyed my round. Some of the hilly holes can really test you out, esp your fitness, lol!
For a little suburban course you can’t go wrong with Bardwell Valley, fairways and greens were all in top nick.
