Round was fun, course was in good knick. Greens played fairly true. Only problem was the proshop didn’t honour the iseek price. Was supposed to be $34 for 18 holes including cart. Proshop argued that it was that price for only 9 holes with cart or 18 without. Worth looking into.

Interesting Course that is well looked after, Fairways and Greens were in fantastic condition. Quite a few dogleg holes so makes it tricky to find a line to the fairway when first time playing.
Played Monday which is there reduced Green Fee day – $20 so good value.

Not a bad little course. Recent rain has made it quite green though the greens a still relatively hard.
Nice outlay, but a few too many dog legs. Also having to refer to the score card for direction of holes.
But, all in all a nice course!

PROS

  • Nice fairways and bunkers

Cons

  • Greens a bit hard after all the recent rain

Fairways in great nick after such a dry winter. THe staff were very friendly and the greens were hard and fast. They would be better if they were a bit softer but overall the course is looking good.

Played there once. Found the front 9 to be a well manicured and fun challenge, but the back 9 suddenly goes bush and gets boring. Often overcrowded and has an image to uphold. Doesn’t benefit from being on the coast as it’s over the road from the ocean. Never had the urge to go back despite only living 4km away for 6 years!

Cons

  • Overpriced
  • Unfriendly
  • Busy

Eighteen holes with excellent, wide fairways. The greens were in magnificent order and played well. A tough par 5 (hole 6) because you have to tee off over the water, usually into the wind, with water hazards to the right, but overall a beautiful course and well worth the effort..

This course was not too bad…i found it to be quite simple and very short…greens were very poor and fairways patchy and dry considering there was a lot of rain at the time…

We were there on a sat and we could only play in the comp…the groups were very large…several groups of 5 and the golfers were very serious…also the day was quite rushed by local members

definelty far from 5 stars but not the worst course out there either..

The course is great to play as a junior in that the hole lengths make you think. quite a challenge, i have not played in the saturday comp so i do not know about the group sizes, i only play pennants matches and junior opens there. favourite course in the area. it’s where i made my first eagle.

Nice golf course with some challenging holes green all year round. can be tough on dasy with the winds coming in from the ocean. recomend to any one staying at bargara to play this course.

Loved the course, very fair and in good condition. But spoiled by having to play behing the Lady president and 5 of her buddies. How a golf club can allow a group of 6 to play and then not let a 2 through (we were on 14 tees together all told) is beyond me. I repeat, this was the Lady President. No surprise that a 4 hole gap opened up while we had the pennant boys hitting at us. Would love to try it again but not on a wednesday.

The course was very dry when I played on it and I can imagine how good it would be in normal times.
