Measures 2711m Par 35 with three par 3s ranging 134-197m, four par 4s ranging from 285-355m and two back-to-back par 5s ranging from 468-477m.

The front and back nine uses the same tee mound with no change to the distance or par of the front or back nine tee mounds.

Course has well-maintained winter rye/clover grass fairways with a quite wide tree-lined layout with rye grass rough. The bent grass greens are smallish and a little bumpy with a few dead patches and rye grass surrounding the greens. There are 4 unbunkered holes with a total of 7 bunkers on the course.

1st/10th – 310m slight dogleg right to an unbunkered green
2nd/11th – 285m straight hole to a green with 2 bunkers and the tee mound is opposite the Beachport Visitor Information Centre
3rd/12th – 355m doglegs right from 200m off the tee with a greenside bunker short left
4th/13th – 477m slight dogleg left with a greenside bunker short right
5th-14th – 468m cross Golf Course Road to play a straight hole with a greenside bunker short right
6th/15th – 134m cross back over Golf Course Road to play the shortest hole on the course with 2 greenside bunkers
7th/16th – 336m slight dogleg right to a bunkerless green
8th/17th – 197m long Par 3 from an elevated tee mound on the small hill
9th/18th – 149m flat bunkerless green

As mentioned the course has a flat layout with one hill near the clubhouse. There are no tall trees here as the layout is fairly wide and open with small trees and shrubs lining the well-maintained fairways.

Beachport has around 400 people about 20 minutes to Millicent (south-east) and 30 minutes to Robe (north) along the Southern Ports Highway.

Apparently the Beachport Jetty is the second longest in the state measuring 772 metres. This little town is very picturesque being located on an isthmus with the ocean and Lake George surrounding it on 3 sides.

Played here in steady light rain on 5th October 2011 with $15 green fees. Course access is from Golf Course Road opposite the primary school.

Having played all country grass courses in the state I’ll safely say that Beachport was probably the best conditioned 9-holer I played on. I’d highly recommend a quick 9 holes here.

Beachport golf course is a reasonably short 9 hole layout which is situated on primarily flat land. There is one hill which runs along the edge of the course where you tee off from on the 1st and 8th holes. The rest of the course is flat with no undulating surfaces at all. The fairways are kept in reasonably good condition and the greens, although quite small, are also in ok condition. Birdies are available at almost every hole due to the openness of this layout. Often a wayward drive is not at all punishing as the fairways are only protected by small shrubs in many cases. Most of the holes are reasonably straight forward with the first hole probably the most picturesque.
An enjoyable course to play, in the wet or dry, rain or hail, calm or gusty, sunny or cloudy.
