After playing at Belair (the first time since Christmas) i am amazed at how much greener the whole course has become. The new tee blocks look great! the greens have a little sun damage but still putt great! no more than what i have found on other courses that i played over the hot summer. It was great to see the look of my sons face, up close with a koala that followed us on a hole. recommend this to people who enjoy the quiet social game!
I played their last weekend, and was suprised to see how green the course has become since ive played last.
Very enjoyable day and great hamburger in the club afterwards!
this used to be & still should be a good course but the current state of the course is TERRIBLE. the greens are dried out & dying, the teeing areas are just bare areas of sand & the fairways have large areas of dry & bare dirt areas. summer has only just started so by the end of it, the course will be WORSE than just a goat track. the current owners seem to neglect the golf course part of their investment & only concentrate on the restaurant/reception areas. 1st & 18th holes which are visible from the restaurant are the only 2 holes that seem to be in good condition but away from those holes it is VERY poor. take a sand iron, you will need it to tee off with !!!!
er hello golftoast, i think you might be overestimating your ability somewhat !!!! the 18th hole is 366 metres long & only slightly downhill, so i don’t really think that you or anyone else would be driving the green on that hole !!!! the fairway is soft, spongy kikuyu grass so you don’t get ANY roll at all. stop kidding yourself !!!
when i played there i didnt enjoy it one bit the course had far to much water on it the tees were water loged and the greens were as well it is set in a nice national park but if ound the staff just didnt care turning sprinkers on were your ball lands it wasnt worth the drive or the money.
Set in Belair National Park, this course was being very heavily watered the monday we played. I couldn’t believe how wet it was, especially the tees. More than half the tees were water logged, being a dry day I had no spikes, I could barely keep it on the fairway. I even had a greenkeeper turn on a sprinkler that my ball had just landed next to! Nice! Aside from the H2o problems, and staff who couldn’t care less, the course is ok. It does play a bit short, plenty of temptation to go long resulting it shots from old gum forest. My favourite hole being around the 14th I think, a 248m uphill par 4, that wants you to carry a creek 40m before the green, great fun if you’re game.
All up though, not all I'd hoped for, mabey a few better placed bunkers and lengthed holes would do it. Still, not the worst place to spend a quiet day.
Yeah a nice course that doesn't play too long and with the down hill 18th you can have a crack at the green in one. You'll find a bit of debris around the place as it is set in a very natural enviroment (National Park). Fairly hilly but generally a very easy course to manage with sand and water not very common. Great place for a hack with your mates.

Great Course. At the moment its a little dry but what can you expect over summer i play all year round and the course is looking in top condition. The new management have really been looking after the course plus the new pro shop is great much better than the previous shop upgraded and new!
