Bendigi is situated in the north east corner of the town near the race track. The course is over 6000 metres with 3 par 3s and fives. The course is characterised by straight or semi dogleg holes, greenside bunkers and gum trees bordering the fairways. There isn't a blade of rough courtesy of the drought. The fairways and greens are excellent due the clubs own water supply.I enjoyed playing this course. It ranks with other fine country courses we have in Victoria.

Being so close to the outstanding courses lining the Murry river, Bendigo golf course falls well below comparison. It's dry, there is no rough to speak of and if one wants to ruin the soles of their clubs with gouges and deep scratches this is the course to play. But perhaps I've being a little harsh. This course does have outstanding greens, they are consistent and interesting with each one presenting a slightly different putting challenge. The fairways are of medium quality but get worse once you cross the road to play holes 7 through to 11. Once you return to the club house side of the course they get better again. If you are in the area and want a game I'd suggest driving an hour up the road to play Rich River instead, it'll be a far more worth while expirience.
