Biloela Golf Club

Rockhampton, QLD | User Rating: Rate-2 (2.5) | Add A Review

Biloela Golf Course is a 14 hole course with the last 5 holes being designed by well known & respected Australian Golf Course Architect Ross Watson. It is hoped one day to extend the course to a full 18 hole layout. The course is situated on mainly level ground but made more interesting by the number of gullies that run through it & a good number of native trees. As it fairly prone to wind from all directions depending on the season, this can also change the playing conditions quite considerably.

The Clubhouse is opened 7 days a week & the Club has a fleet of 12 Yamaha electric golf carts.

The course is home to a good number of kangaroos & native birdlife.

Biloela Golf Club is my home course & I can recommend it to anyone who likes a enjoyable round or two without delays. It’s current condition is probably the best it has been for many years now that we have had some decent consistent rain. It the opportunity arises I would welcome back "The Relic" & Lyndell66 to our course again as their reviews are far from what they stated sometime back. Fairways are well grassed, greens just recentlt renovated & now back in superb condition & water in the water hazards. Still run in the dry areas off fairway but trees are growing so it is better not to go there.

Played 14 holes yesterday with my husband in a motorized cart. Agree with The Relic that there is no great challenge in the course – flat fairways, mostly straight, no bunkers or water hazards (except for the mud on the 10th). However the good run on the fairways and terrific true greens made for great scoring. An enjoyable holiday round of golf in the company of some cute kangaroos.

Played comp about a month ago and was a little disappointed. Coming from the dry Qld bush I am used to hard courses but this was achingly hard on the feet. Did have new shoes though. Preferred lies necessary and need a hammer to get your tee in at times. No great challenge in the course , but heaps of run on the fairways. add ten/twenty metres to long shots. Chip and run a lot. Good company over a beer though. The Relic.
