Measures 2728m Par 35 with three par 3s ranging from 141-175m, four par 4s ranging from 291-335m and two par 5s ranging from 475-529m. Not overly challenging par 4s, but some good par 3s and par 5s.

Course has a mix of kikuyu/couch fairways which are bare in places, with slow smooth grass greens and lush kikuyu grass, but bumpy teebeds with some flat lies. There are 11 bunkers on the course.

1st-335m – straight hole with a teeshot through a narrow tree opening with a left-sloping fairway and rear-to-front sloping green guarded by 2 bunkers shortside left and right.

2nd-475m – doglegs left after 375m off the tee with a right sloping fairway to a bunkerless green.

3rd-141m – slightly elevated teeshot with a green guarded by a small dam short left and a bunker short right.

4th-529m – straight hole with OOB left with tall trees and a long leftside bunker guarding the long flat green.

5th-291m – the tee overlooks the point where Flood and Monkittee Creeks meet to form Gillamatong Creek. Nice place but the hole is easy with a slight uphill dogleg right from 180m off the tee to a green guarded by 2 bunkers.

6th-175m – bunker 15m short right of the green with the clubhouse behind the green and bowling green left.

7th-333m – a fairway crest about 150m to the bunkerless green with a fairway sloping right and tree-lined OOB far right off the tee.

8th-148m – the OOB Monkittee Creek on the right with 3 bunkers on the right guarding the small green.

9th-301m – blind teeshot straight uphill with a bunker over the back of the green.

Played here 23/05/2011 with $20 visitor green fees for 9 holes. Located on the western edge of town between Monkittee and Flood Creeks the course is quite well-maintained for a town of 1100 people.

Braidwood sits about 650 metres above the sea level and around 60km inland from Batemans Bay so it can get a little chilly in the winter.

I played there in late May 2008 for the first time. I am a beginner golfer and went there with a more experienced friend. It is a 9 hole course with the option of using different tees or spots on the tees for the back nine. It is very well kept with the fairways suprisingly lush considering it is a country course, the greens are as good as I have played on before in Canberra and all this surrounded with large old trees. The trees made it a challenging course for my friend – you are punished for any wayward shots. All in all a nice course for all player levels although I did spend more time off the fairway (in the trees) then on it :)
