Any golf course situated in a prime location: the heart of Brisbane, is going to struggle for land. This is clearly displayed in the courses length, and results in a number of ridiculous sub 80m holes which ultimately are played using a sand wedge for much of the course. Even perceiving this course a’social pitch and put’ is an overstatement. The majority of holes provide no challenge and even the occasional miss-hit still allows for a tight Birdy opportunity.

The courses priority is not the maintenance of the holes themselves, but rather the social on take that must be upheld in order to keep the sport enjoyable. Having said this, it is really suitable for seniors who are just wanting to have a go and get outdoors, and certainly does not promote any chances of improving or refining certain aspects of ones short game. The greens are definitely playable and do allow for any golfer to finish up well. However they prove to be a very little test, as they are reasonably small, but do not undulate as one would like to see in any Golf Course.

It is good value for money, but do not expect lush green fairways, and fast 3mm greens. And do not bother to bring any club longer than a Pitching Wedge!

Bulimba is a nice little Par 3 course that has some pros, but many cons. While it may do wonders for beginners willing to get into golf due to its cheap green fees, the course has many limitations that classify it as a haven for social golfers just wanting to have a good time and a laugh. So if you are coming to this course expecting a challenging, championship-like Par 3 experience, you will be deeply disappointed. With few holes exceeding 100m, it leaves you aksing the question of the whether the course actually should be given the classification as a Par 3 course, or just an underwhelming "pitch ’n’ putt" course that would only be good for a grade 3 birthday party.

One thing that also must be pointed out is the fact that the fairways need some work. Sometimes you wonder if they are hiring enough groundskeepers. While the greens are generally in good condition, they are very, very slow and prone easy wear and tear from shoes and ball marks.

Overall, a fun course to play to have a laugh, but nowhere near the standard of Par 3 golf that is found in championship courses.

the birthplace of the "pro hopeless" tournament amongst our mates, where victory is celebrated like an ashes triumph and defeat in much the same manner! as 15-16 year olds about 10 years ago we would play this course several times a month and still go back there now. perfect for practising your short game, cheap green fees and often quiet so you can have a bit of time with your shots. tight course so the occasional ball will stray over on your fairway but its no probs. watch out for grumpy old people, there are some great people there but some are outwardly rude to the younger generations. must be jealousy of the sub 30 scores we would put away for 9 holes...on a great day mind you! watch out also, if your a planespotter like myself theres alot of activity as its low on the flight path, and right next to the river so some cracking views of the beautiful city we live in. top stuff bulimba!

Not a bad little course if your needing a quick golf fix & don't have time for a longer course. Good practice for your short game, I was even lucky enough to get a hole in one. So what can I say I guess i'll love that course after that.

This fun - par 3 course is value for money. It is centrally located at Bulimba with reasonable green fees (about $10)

Whilst it is SHORT - under 1000 Metres - it is a good test as the postage stamp greens demand pin point accuracy. You will test your scrambling ability and your chipping and putting.

Amenities include Licensed club and practice fairway.
