Winter only course usually at its best in July/August. Good design means you’re back at clubhouse every 3 holes (handy for those who work up a thirst). Ladies comp on Tuesday and Mens comp on Saturday from 12.00pm, otherwise there is an honesty box for green fee players ($3).
The scrapes are some of the best I have played on as there is rarely a straight putt and the sand is finer than most and smoothes out really well. It is an easy walk and there are different tees for some of the back 9 holes. An enjoyable course if you get the chance.

Measures 2761m Par 35 with two par 3s ranging from 102-137m, six par 4s ranging from 293-380m and the 453m slight dogleg left 3rd/12th.
There are 9 black soil scrapes with most hole straight. There are 6 holes which share the same tee mound as the front/back nine with only the 1st/10th, 5th/14th and 7th/16th having a different length but same par on the hole.
You begin with the 366m 1st/ 335m 10th straight hole with a teeshot over the Moyses Road dirt entrance. There are 6 holes north of Moyses Road which comes back to the unattended clubhouse, then you play 3 holes on the southern side of the road. Barely basic golf facilities with fees reflecting this at only $3.
Bute is a tiny northern Yorke Peninsula village of 300 people about 90m above sea level about 25km west of Snowtown and 30km south of Port Broughton.
Course access is 2.5km north of the village centre on the way to Port Broughton turning into Moyses Road to the clubhouse and course entry.
