I have played this course occasionally over the year just for a hit .To cut it short I finally played there in a open comp couple of weeks ago.Have to say one of the best kept courses around beautiful condintion fairways like carpet and "tough" some people have said to me , "easy"HUH yeh right. So many different lie angles, trees, ungulating, tight fairways , water traps not to mention real bunkers . Yeah sure real easy . Its a great course greens surpurb and challenging full credit to the green staff . So professionally run makes a joke of the joint i am at . Recommend to everyone

Most underated golf course in Sydney. Forget the name and suburbs reputation, a great layout, very well priced, very hospitable club house. Highly recommended

What a great course. I was a member here for 8 years. The first 4 holes will make or break your round, very demanding par 4’s, with 1st, 3rd and 4th all over 380m long.
The greens are amongst the best in Western Sydney, very true around September through to December. They are well bunkered and the tricky ones are the 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th, and 18th that all slope dramatically from fron to back. You dont want to short-sight yourself with the approached to the 6th, 8th and 15th as the pins can be cut in some very tight places in competition.
The non-couch grassed course offers limited run and so the ball must be hit well in the air. The closing holes to each nine have elevated greens that must be carried all the way or you will come up short. This is as good a course as Liverpool and a little cheaper priced, though if you want a longer course, take Liverpool. However Cabramatta’s undulation, location and wind exposure makes it a daunting challenge on even the easiest of competition events.
PROS
- Undulative layout, greens and bunkering, variety of shots to be played

Played twice in the last two weekends, the course is not the best especially the greens but definitely worth the money. Very hilly and challenging.

Great course to be played and will definatly one of the top courses in Western Sydney. Besides the average surroundings the course plays well and the fairways into the greens are acceptably good considering.

played here on sunday from the social markers. Found the course to offer alot of potential played from the back markers. Fairways in good cndition although greens seemed heavily pitch marked. Stay straight and you’ll score well here. Greens are fair. 16 through 18 need to be thought out to not ruin a good round (hills and gullies).

Played in Jan 08. Cabra is without doubt the best test of golf in western Sydney. Course is in superb condition at the moment. Accuracy of the tee is an absolute must and the ability to execute tricky shots from many of the tree lined fairways is required if you do not find the fairway. Good growing conditions at the moment have made the rough a real challenge. There is a good variety of holes with some tough par 4,s being the highlight. Greens are tricky and if the ball is hit to wrong area some slick breaking puts are the result. The fees are reasonable and members and staff are not to stuffy. I would recommend Cabra to anyone who is looking for a serious challenge to their game.

Great course, one of the good solid golf challenges in the west. Nice balance of bunkers, trees and testing greens. Even get a free drink voucher!

In great condition.
A new greenkeeper has worked magic with the fairways and greens.
Greens are true and quick where on several holes, such as the 6th and 18th you can easily slip past the hole and leave yourself a very long putt back.
New bunkers have been built on 5, 12, 14, and 15 and look and play great
Well worth the trip out west to play,
You wont be disappointed

This is extreme value for money during the week, the fairways and greens are very well watered and a challenging track for all players. The difference between the front markers and the members is huge on some holes and changes the strategy a great deal, well worth it from the back. One of the better courses in Sydney for sure. If your looking to play on the weekend and you are not a member good luck its a two year waiting list, worth a sicky.

I reviewed this course in 2002 & since then it has gone down hill. It is far to overgrown making it a very 'linear' playing line offering very few alternative options of strategy from tee to green.
The over grown trees on the course has also caused problems with grass growth on a few of the green & tees as well as some fairways. By the end of winter these areas are in very poor condition.
The green speeds vary greatly from week to week being quite slow one week to very quick the next. The greens are extremely soft & over watered.
The club has just hired an architect to redesign all the bunkering on the course, yet none of the work involves redesigning any of the greens. This will ruin the green complexes & make them look ridiculous.
The course is cheap to join, but I would recommend people go elsewhere, even if it means spending a few more dollars.

Found this course to be a bit tight and unnecessarily unforgiving off the tee in a lot of places. Enjoyed playing the tenth hole with a precise tee shot and good approach shot needed to get a par. The course demands good short iron play and approach shots but found it too narrow and hilly for my liking.

i was pleasently surprised the first time i played here a few years ago , it is long enough and tough enough to be a good course for the lower handicappers and yet not too hard for the higher ones ,really worth a play in the wednesday comps if you are looking for somewhere different to play

Very good course for both the beginner and the advanced golfer. The greens are in excellent condition, and fairways are quite hospitable for both left and right-handed golfers.
I was impressed with challenging par 4s, and overall a good first time experience at the course. Though Id like to shoot a lower score, I could not complain about the $22 for 18 holes on a weekday.

Cabramatta is truly a class act course - the greens are well maintained and there are various challenges throughout the course - water hazards, blind dog legs and some challenging par 3s which will test your accuracy...
Last time we played the course was in good condition and if you can get on it's well worth the money!

The best value course in Sydney. Don't bother trying to get a game on a weekend if you arent a member. Fairways still remain good even in the drought period.

I have played many courses throughout Sydney, but I still believe that Cabramatta is as tough as they come around Sydney.
The greens are in great condition and can be fast in summer when it drys out.
Great course with mix of flat fairways and hilly fairways. Recommend cart in hot summer days.
Recently they have been making some improvements on the 11th hole.
Its looking somewhat more appealing to the eye than late last year... when we had the dry spell.
Overall I would give Cabra 4 1/2 out of 5 and consider the greens very challenging
Best indication of your real handicap is to come and play Cabramatta.
Taken many frineds their and none have come close to their handicaps that they play off. Add 2 to your handicap when you play here.

Challengng course & always in very good condition.
The best part: WEEKDAYS $22 WITH A $2.50 DRINK VOUCHER...after 3pm it's $13.50 w/voucher too.
Will miss it dearly when daylight saving ends.
The 7th & 14th par 3's are always good fun!

A much underrated course, & I don't know why. Everytime I've been there it is in excellent condition. The greens are perfect & the fairways are the best in the area by far.
3rd is a 435m par 4 (yes, par 4) followed by a 417m par 4. In fact, all the par 4's are hard. Most are long & tight, with quite a few dog legs, & the 2 that are short (around the 310 -320m mark) are straight up hill where you can't see the bottom of the flag.
This is a great course that I would recommend to anyone. I've been there plenty of times & I've never been disappointed.
One of the best courses in Sydney.

A challenging par 70 course that due to it's tough par 4's plays longer & harder than most in the soutwest of Sydney.
The course is always in supurb condition with fast, true greens & beautiful fairways. The well placed bunkering & many trees places a premium on accuracy. The variety of holes & sloping lies requires creative shot making.
The only thing the course lacks is a decent clubhouse, but if golf is what you are interested in, then this is the place.
