I used to play at this coures for a while and didn't mind it. but after a while u get sick of the very very short course and abbundance of par 3's. i have recently moved to Logan City Country Club where i found it was roughly the same price but the course and staff were so much better. because the course is so small it ajoins so many house right next to the fairway where the rough should be. me and my brother a hit those house so many times its not funny. not because of a bad shot just because the fairways are so narrow and the houses are where the edge of a normal fairway would be. overall the coure is average

I had my first and last game on this course last weekend. This course is the roughest course in rough town, to call it a goat track would be an insult to goats. We played 18 holes with buggy casting $31.50 each, steep considering you can play other much better courses for around the same money.

We often had considerable trouble distinguishing greens from the fairways, on numerous occasions we had to drive up to the pin first to get an understanding of the hole layout because the course map on the cards are not even 70% accurate. Some of the holes are longer than they actually say, especially the 16th, which said 250 metres that must be closer to 300+.

As mentioned in other reviews, some of the tee-offs were compacted dirt by 2 x 2 metres. The 17thís ìgreenî is dirt with a patch of grass around the pin and a big chunk of wood embedded into it. The 18th green has just been mown into the fairway.

Pin placement on some holes was devilishly difficult. On the third, it was more like a putt-putt green with the only thing missing being a spinning windmill. Making it more difficult was the terrible surface on every green; reading them as virtually impossible because the way in which the ball bounced around on itís way to the cup.

If I was a member of this club, Iíd be concerned where my membership money is going, because the course doesnít seem to be maintained, with tee blocks crumbling, and upkeep fairways and greens virtually nonexistent. This is the worst course Iíve ever played.

We played at Cali Crk for the first time recently and had a fun round. It's a pretty rough course, but what do you expect for under $20? We were plesantly surprised at the lack of golfers there, although this may have had something to do with the 60km winds. In saying that though, the course was sheltered and not too windy at all.

My criticisms would be the abundance of Par 3's.. there must have been 7 or 8 of them! Also, the greens were VERY rough! Sometimes the ball would be zig zagging all over the place on a short putt.

Overall it was a fun round and as a self-proclaimed hacker it was a good way to play without holding better players up.

I had my first game with this course about 8 weeks ago. Although it is not the best course I've played on the managers (Shawn and Vicki) are 2 of the friendliest people you are likely to meet. The course is relatively short (about 3700 metres) but it is a full 18 holes. Their is water and sand involved and lots of tree lined forests. You have OOB in a few areas too.

The main thing that stops this course from getting a much better review is that some of the tee off markers are compacted dirt (makes it hard to tee off sometimes) and due to the very dry weather the fairways are very very dry. This course is constantly being worked on to try and improve the quality of the tees, fairways and greens though.

Membership is reasonable for a Brisbane course as I myself have joined recently. Shawn is also a very good instructor if you are new to golf or just want a few tips on how to improve all the areas of your game.

If you are wanting a cheap casual game ($12.50 during the week for as many holes as you can play and $15 for 18 holes over the weekend) or want to have the opportunity (like myself) to practice constantly to help improve your game then you could do a lot worse than giving this course a go. Because the green fees are so reasonable what have you got to lose?
