Had a hit while on holidays at Caloundra and the course was in very good nick after the rain.

Added plus was that I could get a cart at 5.30am(different to the Brisbane courses I play where I usually have to wait till 6am). Took my daughter as navigator and we toured around a very good course. Loved the variety of distances in holes and the wildlife was entertaining at times.

Didn’t go in to the clubhouse but the guys in the proshop were very friendly and helpful.

Played 18 holes after an invite from a friend. The course has an interesting layout however suffers from being overplayed. The tees, fairways and greens are all very tired and subsequently make what should be an enjoyable round, not so.

The first few holes are pretty tricky with all fairways at acute angles and water on the sides. Unfortuantely this turns what appear to be good drives down the middle into a drop shot penalty and a whole heap of frustration for the golfer.

The clubhouse was pleasant enough although there are some silly rules about caps left on (we were told off within 3 paces of entering, and in the process of removing a hat!) which left a sour taste in the mouth.

Overall the golf was 6/10 but unfortunatley the clubhouse drops it to 5/10 for the overall experience. Paul & Patrick

I have played caloundra a few times over the last 2 years and while it is a good layout it is a shame that every time I go there the greens are sub standard worth a look you be the judge.

Not bad, pity i didn’t know the layout to well.

I got into trouble due to a lack of local knowledge.

All in all not a bad walk.

My father, John, was the first professional appointed to Caloundra in 1970. It impresses me no end to see the course has achieved the number 8th ranking in the state.

Even though it has a lot of resort courses around it, Caloundra is still a great value for money track! Interesting layout, a few elevation changes - a must play if staying on the Sunshine coast. 3 and a half stars.

Having played almost all the Gold Coast resort courses I feel Caloundra is like the public resort on the sunny coast.

From the first till the last no hole is the same. Par three's are all differrent with the sixth the best little hole. If the tee's are back you need to land it on the green. Short is in a bunker, real short is in the water left is in a bunker and long left is in a bunker, hit the green and if you do there are some tricky pin placements. Caloundra is just a great place to play and make sure you walk, it's not tooo hard and the views are great.

Having only played Caloundra twice over a year ago, my memory is vauge yet I can assure you it is worth playing. A variety of different holes keeps it entertaining and interesting. The course is well maintained and the greens were a pleasure to putt on.
