Cambrai golf course is located on the Murray plains, approximately 25km from the river Murray. This scrapes course is built on sandy terrain making wayward drives tough to play in some situations.
The first hole is a 510m par 5 which runs due east along an OOB fence up the left. Other notable holes include the par 3 ninth which requires a tea shot over a gum tree onto a green which is only 5m wide and tapers off into two challenging sand traps on each side and the par 4 sixth which is a drivable par 4.
The scrapes are in good condition and preferred lie is allowed on the sparse fairways. The course plays very well early in the morning and it is possible to get around 18 holes in 2 hours.

There are no surprises here – no sand or water hazards. Not well-maintained with ankle-high weeds from the end of September til autumn.
Course access is from taking Sports Ground Road. Cambrai is a tiny village of less than 100 people approximately 100m above sea level about 40km from Swan Reach between the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Murray River.
Closest grass green courses are the 9-holers at either Swan Reach or Mannum.
