Was a caddy there for a few months. The Lloyd Williams owned Capital Golf Course is well… simply spectacular. The Capital (Crown Casino’s Course) is an invitation only golf course that pretty much caters to VIP/High Roller gamblers or personal friends of Llyod Williams. Each group of guests are given golf carts and caddies to help them around the course. Depending upon how “important” the guests are, generally 1 caddy per 2 guests but for the VVIP (VERY very important guests) then they get their own caddy for the day.
You can check out the course at http://www.capitalgolfclub.com/masterindex.html but to give a brief overview. This course is visually stunning. It has all the features of bunkers, rough and hazards that any world standard course would offer. It can easily be the site to the Australian Open.. Masters.. etc. It is worth losing 100k at Crown so you are labelled a “whale” to be able to get an invitation to play at the Capital.
Quite simply the best course in Australia.
