A great little 9 hole track with a good mix of holes, some very good long par 3’s and some good short par 4’s.

Played here Monday 20/3/06 and played off blue championship markers, and it only measured 1920m Par 32 with 4 Par 3s ranging from 110-165m and FIVE Par 4s ranging from 250-290m. Greens were just cored, but only the 7th had a two-tiered green. Fairways were very thinly covered, and looked almost dead, teebeds were great though flat, lush and cut short. Holes are fairly flat straight, but they love to have an elevated tee (usually a 30m climb elevation to the top). Also, quite good bunkering to protect the small greens on all holes but the 2nd. Nothing special, but better than Lane Coveís 9-holer.

Weekday green fees are $17 for 9 holes, I paid $10 for Mondays, so generally good value.

I play at Castles on a very often basis and I respect the course and it's management.

With the courses rating it had great greens and keeps it's reputation for good maintenance. The holes are not challenging, a higher handicaped individual will find the course easy and there is respect for their efforts. Great for a social game and very cheap.

Love the course and love the cheap n easy.

Castlecove is a nice well maintained course set in the backblocks of castle cove. A reasonable short course that is well looked after for a course that recieves so much traffic. Although short some of the holes have some imagination used in there design eg the par 4 dogleg 5th, although a nice course it will not provide much challenged to the lower handicappers and more seasoned golfers. Great if your looking for something to do on the weekend or just for a quick social round with some of your mates this is the course to do it.
