Measures 2885m Par 36 with three par 3s ranging from 138-176m, three par 4s ranging from 271-407m and three par 5s ranging from 419-510m. There are 9 greens and 18 tees with some different lengths and angles when you go around a second time or if you wish to play a second ’back nine’ ball.

Course conditioning is fair with good fairways with decent lies, greens are a little slow and teebdeds are mostly flat with the odd bare lies. Good bunkering on the course with all greens except the 2nd bunkered – there are 10 bunkers on the course. Holes are either straight with 3 dogleg right holes.

Highlights include the straight 407m 1st with its tree-lined fairway to a green guarded by a bunker shortside left. The 510m straight 7th has Western Port visible in the distance straight behind the green guarded by 2 bunkers shortside left and right with a wide tree-lined fairway. The 341m 8th has a wide tree-lined fairway with OOB right of the treeline with a green guarded by a bunker short left.

Played here 16/11/2010 with green fees $10. Not a bad course.

Cerberus is a fantasic course – one that will surprise. I never knew such a long course existed here until I started playing it. The course has 9 greens and 18 tees, some of which turn par 4’s in par 5’s and vice versa, so there is a lot of variety. It is a very quiet course and is in very good condition. They look to have spent a fair bit of money on it. My only gripe is sometimes they sand the greens too much but this has seemed to become less and less of a problem over the last 6-12 months.
Set on the Naval Base, anyone can rock up and play – no special ’clearances’ required! Some great views and some very long holes too. Many tree lined it can be very brutal at times.
A great course for all players and one I’d recommend. Cheap to play and if you go mid week you may end up playing by yourself.

I have played here for several years and is now in the best condition ever.

The greenskeeper has spent obvious amounts of time on drainage, fairways, greens and surrounds which has paid off.

Small elevated greens make this a tricky course at times with course management a must.

Great for the big hitters and social players alike.
