Coolamon has 18 black soil/sand greens with dry kikuyu fairways in a tree-lined parkland style layout. There are no water or sand bunker hazards in play and most holes run straight with a slight curve.
The Coolamon Sport & Recreation Club also boasts bowls. The town and course is located approximately 240-260 metres above sea level about 15km east of Ganmain, 40km NW of Wagga Wagga and 40km east of Junee.
For a town of around 1400 people, Coolamon has the layout and sizeable population base potential, but not sure if it will have the (water) resources to convert to grass greens in the future. The course is located north of the railway line on the eastern edge of town on Lewis Street near the junction of Loughnan Street.
