Worth the drive. Overall a nice tidy course, greens were fantastic. I haven’t played here regularly for around 10 years, the loss of a few of the big character trees making some holes easier. They have added fairway bunkers on a few holes, and off the fairway is a good length. The course has come through the years of drought well.

The Cowra course is a golfer friendly layout. Some challenging finishing holes with sloping greens.
Despite lack of rain the course was presented well and the greens were very enjoyable to putt on.
No water hazards and relatively easy walking. Good helpful staff a realy enjoyable experience

The drought has well and truly broken. The course looks green instead of the brownish layout I have played a few times in recent years.
The turf is still patchy without an even coverage so there are plenty of ordinary lies on the fairways.
The greens had been recently cored and sanded and it was still too early for the staff to cut the greens to normal height. When they can do this the greens will be fantastic.
This is a testing layout although it has a few problems in the design with some holes encroaching on another hole in line of play.
I enjoy playing Cowra and ready to include it on any trip into the region. This course needs support of the Council to get treated effluent for watering.I’d rate it more highly if you could get consistently decent lies on the fairways.
