Do not leave Crescent Head off your itinerary just because "it’s only a six hole course"! And don’t think you’ll master it second time around.Played in the Vets mid week comp and had a ball. Full eighteen holes , three times around and still had two eights and a five on the par three second. Tee off from a cliff to a green on a hill. Gordy’s been playing there for years and had a twelve! Every hole is any easy par or easy double figures. Each one comes with spectacular views built in. Try keeping focused on the third green with surfers only fifty metres away in "long board heaven" (direct quote from grey/blond dude in a wetsuit). Going to take the Leader of the Opposition out so I can try again. Greens are well behaved and enough protective bunkers around to test any golfer.Course, good. Company, great. Views, spectacular. Value, the best. Loved it. Will have to calm down before I rate it. The Relic.

Measures 1167m Par 21 for the serious golfers, with 3 par 3s ranging from 90-175m and 3 par 4s ranging from 255-275m.

The 255m Par 4 1st/7th/13th (I say that because there are 3 tees if you want to play 18 holes here) is a killer walk up the hill, but you are rewarded by great views from the 105m 2nd tee across the cliff a small green guarded by a bunker in front. In fact all but the 90m 6th/12th/18th have bunkers guarding the greens.

The 265m Par 4 3rd/9th/15th has a teeshot over the beach if you want to have a go at driving the green, but you must avoid the bunker short. The 275m Par 4 4th/10th/16th has dogleg right.

Played here 27/9/06 and only paid $5 for 6 holes. Great for the traveller, fabulous value for this scenic wonder. Only a 20 minute drive from Kempsey too, reminds the Sydneysiders of Bondi GC with the cliff views.

I recently played this course and I did not expect anything special because it was only 6 holes but it was right on the ocean and very picturesqe. It had lots of interesting holes just like the 100m second which you have to hit from one cliff to another over the pacific ocean. It was good fun.
