Despite being established in 1923 Crystal Brook still has black soil scrapes and measures 5671m Par 71 with four par 3s ranging from 100-185m, eleven par 4s ranging from 264-375m and three par 5s ranging from 436-538m.

Course has 18 black soil scrapes with Crystal Brook running through the length of the linear layout. Some interesting holes as mentioned by the 2009 reviewer but still only 1 star "basic golf facilities" here. Fees are $5

The town and course are approximately 120m above sea level. Crystal Brook is a town of around 1200 people about 30km south of Port Pirie and 50km north of Snowtown.

Closest grass green courses are Clare, Burra and Balaklava.

We’ve played the brook (as it’s known to the locals) twice, well one of us only one and a half times as they couldn’t manage to walk around the course without hurting themselves. But what a contrast in conditions we faced. If you play it when they have had a bit of rain and haven’t mowed recently you might be in for a tough time. The grass can get quite unruly off the fairways. But when the rough is manageable, what a delight.
A creek runs right through the course, with the par 5 11th one of the best par 5’s going around as it winds its way along the natural line of the creek. It’s long too at 538 metres. The par 3 14th has to be mentioned, at only 100 metres and with the scrape well below you its certainly a bit of fun.
The course isn’t hilly, but has a number of small slopes meaning that you are often hitting to scrapes above or below you, an entertaining challenge.
One of the best scrpaes courses going around, but watch out for trains after the 2nd.

Great country course. Nicely situated in an old bead. Very nice picturess course, with some big trees and tricky holes. One of the best country sand greens courses going around. A must play when driving past.
