There are 9 brown sand scrapes which is closed from September til March every year. Basic golf facilities but the nearby attractions are not too bad.
The village of Darke Peak has about 50 people and is approximately 180m above sea level. Course access is from the southern edge of the village.
The Darke Peak Range, lies to the west of the village, and is a table-topped picturesque 10km long range with the highest point Darke Peak (477m asl).
Carappee Hill (495m asl), lies to the north-east of the village, is the highest point on the Eyre Peninsula which is the highest and most extensive exposed granite rock in the area.
