I have played this course a number of times over to many years to remember. The improvemnt in the layout, especially the front nine, has made a very interesting & enjoyable course.

The opening par 4 is just a drive & wedge, but if the wind is up, you better take an iron off the tee.

There is a good variety of short & medium length par 4's, so a good chance of some birdies. The greens are good, but you will get more bite on the older greens, 8, 9 & most of the back nine.

All in all a very nice course & if your game is not up to on the day, you can always watch the abundence of air traffice the zooms close to your heads on Harry Hawker airport. (Moorabbin(

Known by most as Moorabbin I have never been a great fan of it. However a miracle has happened and there is now plently of grass on it. You can now get value for shots and can use short irons without blading them all over the place. Despite the wind the greens were excellent, providing you can read the breaks. Well done to the grounds staff. But when 2 large groups have booked for a Sunday, 6 months earlier,paid in advance you should not make a unilateral decision and reschedule a pennant comp before them so you 40 people waiting around for an hour longer than expected, thus robbing us of valuable drinking time.
