A one hour drive South of Hobart through the Huon valley brings you to this very picturesque golf club. Very friendly easy going locals who trust you with the honour system of paying the very reasonable fees. With spectacular views looking out over Esperance Bay to Bruny Island must make this course one of the most idyllic in Australia. Ideal for the retired person. Join in for the regular "Chicken run" It can be a lot of fun. Watch out for the wind. It can sure blow down there. But if you haven't played Dover, then you haven't played the most Southern course in Australia.

Yes it’s Australia’s southern-most golf club / course, but that’s about the sum of it’s claims. The course is a small rural 9-holer like most towns in Tassie seem to have, with $10 green fees and an honesty box. There is nothing special in the design, with most holes running back and forth beside one another, separated by a line or two of eucalypts. The conditioning is ok, as the course does have some green grass, but don’t expect groomed fairways or smooth greens.
It is simply a quiet golf course where you’re unlikely to encounter crowds, where you can play a mix of different length holes, and where the green fees are less than a movie ticket.
