A fairly typical wheatbelt course but better designed than most. Every hole is different and each offers its own challenges. Overall the course is short but tight.
They use a thin layer of sand and the greens are therefore hard and very difficult to stop your ball on. Land short and let the ball run up. When it comes to putting they are fast for sand greens and most holes have subtle breaks.
Can only really be played in winter. The fairways and greens need rain to be at their best.
Keep an eye out for the 8th, 9th and 10th holes. Three of the toughest consecutive holes you will find anywhere.
I travel up from Perth a couple of times a year to play there. Worth going when members are playing (Saturday) as they make you welcome and are good company.
No pro shop or equipment hire but a great bar when open on the weekend.
