The Drouin Golf & Country Club is the only 27 hole course in the West Gippsland Region. The new nine holes, recently completed is a contrast in style compared with the well established 18 holes that golfers have enjoyed for many years now. Well bunkered with Santa Ana Couch grass fairways and several water features, this exciting development is set to establish Drouin as a premier Gippsland golfing destination.

Played Drouin the other day, in fantastic nick, you won’t find better fairways on any country course and they have 27 holes. The layout is also very interesting with a great variety of holes. Beautiful new clubhouse as well and the Pro was very friendly. You must be kidding Oldnut, have also played Warragul, was in o.k condition but the front nine is mountain goat country and the back nine uninteresting. Drouin also 10 mins closer to melbourne.

Do yourself a favour and drive the extra 5 minutes to Warragul Country Club.
Warragul has lovely grass to hit off, dry course all year round, playable bunkers, great food and most of all friendly members.

Used to play here often about 12 years ago and returned this week.
Drouin has always been challenging but fair.
Has certainly improved with the fairways in very good shape.
The greens are true and faster than they look but on some holes are too small for the length of the approach.
Overall it’s a good test of golfing prowess and well worth playing.
Being within an hour of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, you won’t waste your trip.

Im a drouin local and would like it if people would stop raving about our course, we dont want it to get too busy. But yes it is a gem, fairways have been worked on and the greens have a true roll on them. Personally i like the back back nine 19-27. its the old course and its very challenging and well kept, the front nine looks great with the santa ana couch fairways, and with a couple more trees it will be a great course.

Played this course on a Thursday morning, and other than a few kids on school holidays we hardly saw another player which makes a great change from suburban courses. Some terrific holes, and the course itself was in immaculate condition. This little gem is just an hour and a bit from Melbourne, and is highly recommended. $22 and play as many of the 27 holes as you can get around.

This is a hidden gem, (and so close to Melb). Myself and couple of friends played all 27 holes, they have an unlimited play deal. Each nine is different, some open holes but also some real testers. Very picturesque course with fantastic greens. We played in winter but it was not too wet at all. We will definetely head back in summer, the locals tell us the fairways are brilliant in summer as they have converted them to santa ana couch. Great value for money.

I play this course regularly as it is rarely busy. 27 holes and I actually find the holes 19-27 the best challenge. There are about half a dozen new holes that are pretty but not too hard as they are very wide and trees need to grow. Greens are small and seem to be losing condition as we head into summer. There are a few short holes in the older section, but these are tree lined and tight and you need to think about it a bit more. Always seems to be in reasonable condition and I always enjoy my hit there.

Course wise, I’d rate it better than Warragul, but not a good as Trafalgar. Facilities are typical of a country course, but it has a nice pro shop.

Somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 star rating.

27 holes, with the best greens in Gippsland and only an hour from Melb CBD. I have played all three nines and found the new nine (1-9)the best. This is a great track, with friendly members and no time sheet. It’s just rock up and play.

This course shares its area with a very country looking horse racing track. When I played it I played 10-27 and the place is nice and open, trees playing the biggest hazard I enjoyed it thought it had real character
