Measures 2508m Par 35 with two par 3s ranging from 125-167m, six par 4s ranging from 236-330m and the 511m Par 8th.
Course has good couch fairways with a few bare patches, no bunkers, slowish grass greens and tree-lined fairways where all trees have been cut short no higher than 3-8 metres tall. I also spotted a koala on the course.
1st/10th – 167m.
2nd/11th – 236m dogleg right Par 4 with the Hopkins River on the right.
3rd/12th – 269m slightly uphill straight holes with the road OOB along the right.
4th/13th – 301m slightly downhill straight hole.
5th/14th – 280m slight dogleg right with fairway sloping left with the Hopkins River along the left from tee to green.
6th/15th – 125m with steep banks sloping left and over the back of the green to the river.
7th/16th – 330m with a teeshot over a rocky crest with rocky undergrowth on the right.
8th/17th – 511m dogleg left Par 5 8th which has the Hopkins River along the left with a left sloping fairway to a bunkerless green.
289m 9th or 332m 18th – partially shares the 8th fairway and plays straight.
Played here 22/11/2010 with $10 green fees. This course is about 15-20 minutes north-east of Warrnambool off either the Hopkins or Princes Hwy on the Ellerslie-Panmure Road. Not bad location as you hear the running waters of the Hopkins River on 4-5 holes. Could do with a few bunkers. Good for the less frequent golfers.
