Played there on Monday 1/6/2009. Booked for 1218. Had no hassle with starting time. Course wasn’t too crowded I guess coz it was a Monday. Wide fairways and very forgiving. Not too many balls lost. A lot of fun with nice scenery of the tweed river. I don’t know how it’s like on the weekend but I will definately recommend it for weekdays. Well manicured fairways and greens. Very good course for the price. Definately coming back

Measures Par 72 5946m, with four Par 3s ranging from 130-180m, ten Par 4s ranging from 290-400m and four Par 5s ranging from 460-495m. Played here for the first time 23rd March 2009, and enjoyed the course layout.

The course begins with a gentle par 5 dogleg right with water crossing 30 metres from the front of the green which is guarded by 3 bunkers. Long walk to the short dogleg left 2nd. The river course is said is to be the more challenging of the two courses. It has 7-8 dogleg holes, thick tree-lined fairways on some holes and a 3 level clubhouse. A great golfing alternative to the higher priced gold coast resort style courses around. Course is 5 minutes from Gold Coast Airport too.

Fantastic value… Played the River course which I prefer to the West course. Amazing number of bunkers, a lot of doglegs & shortish holes. Course is in immaculate condition with beautiful spongy fairways to hit from.

Will never book here again. Arrived for my tee time and was told that the tee times were 90 minutes behind time. Then told as I was a ‘one’ I would just have to stand at the tee and try to get in with another group. Then was told what did I expect if I booked with iseek. Attitude was if this is normal at this course and what was I complaining about. All my other experiences with iseek booking have been fantastic it’s obvious that this course is not up to the professionalism of others listed on iseek and should be avoided at all cost.

a great track that was in very good condition despite the rainy day.It is a course where you need to think about your club selection especially off the tees.I fyou are a “grip it and rip it” style you will only find trouble.Very enjoyable golfint course.

Played River Course and it was in great condition. Many different and challenging holes.Great value for money.Played on a Sunday with good weather and it was quite busy and play was a little slow but it was still enjoyable.

Nice course. Greens, Fairways, Tees and Bunkers were all in very good condition when I played it.

Course is not overly long but position and keeping the ball in play is paramount with a number of tight driving holes. Have a poor day off the tee and your score will soon mount up. Keep the ball in play and you will probably score well.

Only aspect that I didn’t like about the course was the fact that it had in my view too many doglegs. It seemed as though just about every par 4 or 5 was a dogleg.

The course is good, but management is terrible as there’s no control of booking. NO CONTROL AT ALL.

This is a really nice course. Good variety of holes, and some sharp dog legs to contend with. It was in excellent condition tee to green and well bunkered throughout. You will need to hit accurately off the tees as there is a number of very tight tree lined holes. Pack a driving wood if you’ve got one or get ready to hit long irons of the tee for positional play. Was around 40 bucks to play in the Saturday Comp.

I loved this course. Only played the front 9, was quite busy, but still felt relaxed and there was no pressure.

Very nice: very little water, rough not too severe, well maintained. Good layout.

was on holidays and played several courses in the area. This is the best course you will ever play for the price. There are 36 holes, a river course and the west course. Around $40 to play either of the two championship layouts. The courses are heavily bunkered and have several water hazards. this is a challenging course overall and it will definetly be unforgiving if you are struggling in any areas of your game. A well kept course that is a must to play

Was on the gold coast for a weeks golf last week and played the West course on Tuesday and had such a good cheap time came back for the river course on Thursday!! Forget the resorts.. this place was in as good a condition as Lakelands, Glades and Hope Island which were the other courses we played. About $50 bucks a head with a cart is a steal and the bent greens on the west course are as good as any you will play. The fairways were great on both courses and the greens challenging on the river course which were couch opposed to bent on the other course. Members here have it made...sign me up Scottie!!

Played 22/10/05

Daunting,interesting,confusing.

Turned up on spec on a Saturday. Managed to jag a comp round with some 450 regulars. Nervous as hell but Perry put me at ease. Thanks mate. Had a pretty ordinary score but this is one good golf course. Doglegs, bunkers, great fairways, tough greens.

No way I could play to my bush course handicap here without a lot of practise. Now isn't that a pleasant thought!

Add a top clubhouse and not too pricey.

She'll do me.

The west course sits easily between your 'normal' club course and a full on resort course. Comp every day.Usually packed. The fairways are great, the greens challenging and if you aren't used to bunkers get some practise , they certainly wrecked my score.

Can't fault it except maybe a bit busy for a country hacker.

Plus there's a great club house and restaurant complex. I'm coming back to play the river course.

The Relic played 11/02/05

Played in the Wednesday open comp on the River course which has among the best fairways on the Gold Coast - thick, even couch that makes hitting long irons easy.

The West course (played in the afternoon) manages to present quite differently notwithstanding being on the same plot as the River course. Just as good in condition.

With greens only a notch perhaps behind some of the lauded resort courses, THGC is possibly the best value on the Gold Coast.

Really enjoyed my day here. I'm a member at a reciprocal club and I thought it was a great bargain to be able to play here for free.

The course is not too far below the standard of many of the resort courses on the Gold Coast but the prices are definately a lot more reasonable. There seemed to be a perfect mix of length, style and green type to make this a really interesting golf day.

I'd have another go anytime.

Played there in Sept school holidays on the "public" course which is slightly easier. Friendly staff and pro shop and impressive new clubhouse. The course was nearly deserted with a free driving range (bring your opwn balls). Reasonably flat with some water in play on some holes. Quite long with wide sheltered fairways, not much rough. Course in very good condition. A very enjoyable course at $33 much less than the resort courses nearby. The "members" course adjacent is more difficult.

This course is awesome, it is worthwhile to go down and have a hit.

The course is always in perfect condition, and has a number of holes which can test every golfers ability.

I would recommend this course for anyone to play.
