Elsternwicks is a good little 9 hole course but unluckily the course may be knocked down into a mini golf fun course which is a real shame. If you are looking to have a game there soon, the greens are slow as anything and the fairways are a little dry.

Not a bad little course as mentioned above but the service received by one of the staff in particular is consistently appalling. For a course clearly aimed at beginners, I am confused with this person’s provocative, offensive and open disdain for players that he deems unworthy.
Being a local I have been going to the club for a few years now but after seeing him “blow his top” at two ladies for taking to long to get around (who only took a while because they let so many players play through (me included)) I will no longer visit.
For this reason I give my poor rating, which is a shame because the pro and other mid-week staff member are both a pleasure to deal with.

Elsternwick golf course is a great little golf course for beginers and hackers. The course is in absolutly brilliant condition compared to some of melbourn’s other public courses, and considering the drought. Some long par 3’s provides a little bit of a challenge but fairly staight forward holes make it easy to produce a good round.

Nice course. Fairways were open and very easy to play off. Greens were fast. I agree with Ronrat that this would be a great course for beginers

A lot of long par 3's and a creek runs through it. Wayward shots can get punished. A good course if you are not in a hurry as it caters for quite a lot of beginners and school kids as it near a station and tram lines. don't consider playing 18 unless you have all day, go to the pub 50 metres away. Course is generally in fair nick but in summer the greens can be rock hard. Better options around (Albert Park, Cheltenham etc) but ok if you are not being too serious.

It is a golf course that is extremely flat. It is a little crammed also. The Green fees are a little higher than one would expect for a mediocre mostly par three course. For a cheaper and more enjoyable game simply go to Brighton Golf course. Don’t expect to be dazzled by the scenery. The best to offer are a canal on the 4th. PS bring your helmet, you will need it because it really is a beginners course.
