Great testing course that has some pretty holes using the lagoon that runs through the course. Severly shortened holes for social members off the yellow markers. From the back markers much more satisfactory, requiring a lot of calculation and accuracy. Fairways are superb, affording consistently good lies for shots that stay on line. Greens are true and have seen a number rebuilt and rejuvenated improving the complexity of the course. The Pro, Darren Chivas and his staff are friendly and helpful.

I am a junior member at everglades and it is quite good value. All the pro's there are nice and members are great to play with too. Course isn't in GREAT shape but it can get quite well kept.

The current Professional is Darren Chivas, a former NSW Open winner - a great bloke, a calm and efficient teacher and coach (currently the coach of Nikki Garrett, one of the State's best young female prospects).
The course is sand-based and very rarely closed by excess rain (to the envy of many other local courses) It is flat but still challenging with a natural waterway through it's middle and a number of potential out-of-bounds fences to the right for those of us (many) who slice. In fact, a program has recently been implemented to overcome potential OB liability problems by substantial tee screening, mounding on the sides of fairways with up to 2,000 new casuarinas(She-oaks) and melaleucas (paper barks) that are endemic to the area being planted. The 7th hole was altered by shifting the green inwards, away from near the boundary fence, and a water hazard was placed across the middle of the fairway at entry 190 metres - exit 220 metres, to make the hole substantially a lay-up hole Par 4. The big hitters can still have a go but at some risk!
The course is rarely beaten even by the Billy Dunks of the past and Andre Stolz, Darren Chivas etc. of the current Pros.
