I played this course back in 2001 when I was a backpacker. I was shocked to find a course that actaully ahd dirt fairways and I took a few photos with the fairways and my beat up hire clubs to show just how comical it was for friends at home.
There isn’t much to the course, but the young couple that was running it was great.
He picked me up at my hostel in Hervey, drove me to the course, golf, hire clubs, lunch and a few drinks for next to nothing.
The greens were bad back then, but by the sounds of things, they have gone the same way of the fairways too.

Don’t bother. Fairways are bare or at best, weeds. Greens are longer than the rough. Poor maintenance with no discernible evidence of greenskeeper. Only evidence that it was a golf course were the 18 flags. Pales in comparison to Craignish, right next door.
PROS
- No queues! No one else there
Cons
- As above

Possibly the worst course I’ve played on. In wet conditions, this course is unbearable and in dry conditions it’s not much better. Bare and hard ground all over the place. The greens are poorly maintained (if at all).
Save your money and go elsewhere.
PROS
- None
Cons
- Crappy Greens
- Patchy Fairways
- Unplayable After Rain

A disappointing course in terms of conditioning. Preferred lies are allowed on all 18 holes.
Low and flat and water on about 10 holes.
The course seems subject to high water table, meaning there are a LOT of LARGE bare patches on fairways and in the rough.
The bunkers have been allowed to go to grass and weeds.
The greens contain a variety of grasses and are a matter of guesswork due to their roughness.
The 18th is an interesting hole, but needs some better visual clues to indicate where the second shot should be directed.
Unless something dramatic happens, I'll save my $10 green fees for somewhere else.

Value for money and a true test of your love of golf. There has been a lot of earthworks carried out in the last year with very little improvement to the playing conditions. I guess the primary objective of
draining excess water has been achieved and further improvements have been hamstrung by the wetest 18 to 24 month period for the region in history. If you are going to play here, play with someone who has played here before and do not expect resort conditions and then you will not be dissapponited. As Arnie says, "i’ll be back"
