A quiet little 9 hole course with friendly members.

One of the few courses on the Mid North Coast with Bent grass greens which are usually quite soft.

2 sets of puddings (per tee) are available so when playing 18 holes, each 9 can be played from a different place. Once you have played 9 though, you have seen enough.

The course does have a good variety of holes with long and short par 3’s and 4’s.

The 6th would be the best hole, a par 4 with a narrow driving alley and a slight dog leg to the right with OOB all the way to collect a sliced drive. A good drive into the left hand side of the fairway will give you a short iron into a green well below your feet and guarded by bunkers and OOB.

Played here 27/9/06 and it measured 2397m Par 33 with 3 Par 3s ranging from 135-180m and 6 Par 4s ranging from 270-340m. Firstly, I was not expecting much from a country course, but for $10 for 9 holes or $14 for 18 holes, I could not find better value even coming from Kempsey GC just a couple hours before teeing off at Frederickton.

What a fabulous privately owned course! Uphill teeshots (300m 1st, 330m 3rd, 145m 7th) downhill teeshots (340m 2nd) the odd dogleg (1st, 2nd, 6th) an island teebed on the 8th, water hazards (over the back of the 1st green, dam 50m in front of the 2nd green and in front of the 8th tee) and bunkers guarding 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th greens.

I was amazed at the quality of the greens here, no dead patches, even roll and the odd tiered green. Fairways were quite lush in places, considering its hilly layout. Best holes I feel are the opening 3 holes, all par 4s with a teeshot on the high side of the dogleg, leaving a great view to the green but the approaches are marked with danger with sand and water coming into play.

And no I am not a member here, although I sound like one, I just recommend a game here over Kempsey GC. Great course for all golfers, I feel, easy to get on too.

The green fees for twice around are $14 and with not a lot of members getting on is easy.

If you like to hit greens in reg and putt on small greens, the course is faily forgivng with lots of pine trees and only a few hills.

Easy to play and no hastles.

This is a wonderful little nine hole layout. I features six short par threes which are very narrow and have small slick greens and this course has three long par threes.
