Enjoyable course….small, but a nice layout and maintained very well…I will go back.
PROS
- For a small country club it is well looked after.

Small country golf club set on the outskirts of town of the same name, about an hour south of Hobart. A basic course, very short and repetitive and with few hazards. Sufficient rainfall to keep fairways alive; tees and greens watered.
Basic golf, but green fees were only five or ten dollars.

Geeveston Golf Club…… Played there on Sunday 12/6/2011 and had the course to ourselves for the front nine until a car load of hoons turned up in a group of 5 and jumped in front of us for the back nine slowing us down. The course like Dover has gone through a few changes over the years, The first hole is a new one(small par 5) and the 9th one is also new(small par 4)But they have removed the best 2 holes(the old 5th and the old 6th) Must have something to do with the huge hill that the members had to walk up ? Anyway the course is very enjoyable and the walk is quite flat now, the greens are a bit dodgey so dont expect to sink too many puts here(just hope for the best) and someone needs to cut a few trees down that over hang the fairways eg: the 6th hole(the old 9th) has a gap of about 3 yards to get through witch is nearly impossible, but apart from that the course is not that hard.
Cheep green fees at $10 . It is worth playing if you are in the area but i would drive that little bit further to Dover or back to Huon Valley if you want better.
