Measures 1897m Par 32 with five par 3s ranging from 63-174m, three par 4s ranging from 225-320m and the 430m Par 5 8th.
The resort is prvately owned but the course is publicly accessible. The course has 7 bunkers with only the 1st and 9th bunkerless holes.
The course has kikuyu fairways with patches of couch grass, slow bent grass greens, flat kikuyu teebeds and some strategically placed/planted trees and plenty of kangaroo poo, all of which makes an interesting walk.
It must be said that off the fairway is rough dirt with small shrubs. The fairways are not laid out from tee to green as par 3s do not require fairways and the par 4s and par 5s have fairways 80m out from the teebed which then runs all the way to the green.
1st – 225m, slightly downhill teeshot with OOB fence on the right with trees obscuring the bunkerless green.
2nd – 113m, slightly uphill with left side bunker.
3rd – 165m, slightly downhill with bunker back right.
4th – 150m, tee alongside the dam with bunker short right.
5th – 320m, blind teeshot over small scrubs and a crest with a slight dogleg left to a green guarded by a back right bunker and OOB left and over the back of the green.
6th – 257m, straight hole with some powerlines across the fairways with a leftside green bunker.
7th – 63m, with a strange bunker 20-40m short left of the green on a 63m long hole! Must somehow come into play on 126m 16th tee mound…
8th – 430m, teebed is shared with the 4th hole. Dogleg left from 250m off the tee and slightly uphill with the odd trees making a narrower driving hole than one would like to a green guarded by a short left bunker.
9th – 174m, with a teeshot over a dam in a gully then uphill to the bunkerless green.
Not overly exciting to play the 9 holes again as the back nine tee mounds are within 50m of the front nine tee mounds.
Played here for an hour on 7th April 2011 with $12 green fees for 9 holes. Located about 20 minutes northeast from Canberra taking the Sutton Road interchange exit off Federal Highway, and then the service road and turn into Goolabri Drive.
The resort offers short and long term accommodation and is increasingly popular with wedding/conference functions.
