Gosnells has to be the quiet achiever of the private courses in Perth. This course is sentational. Public can access on Mondays for $25, you will not find better value than that. The course is in immaculate condition year round and the greens can run hard and fast during the season.

The layout presents a real challenge, particular the back 9. the 10th hole presents and feels like the 11th hole of Augusta minus the greens side lake. The finishing hole is sentational and a tricky green really brings in the lake.

Played Gosnells in late December 2012 (boss’ shout!) and really enjoyed the course. Was a hot day so glad we had carts especially with the elevation changes around the course that made for some interesting shots. The course was in great condition, and I enjoyed the undulating greens. They must have been watered due to the recent heatwave as the boss warned us they’d be fast, but were moderate speed.
The 18th green though is a 3 level monster, if you end up high rather than low you could be in trouble!

Lots of greenside and layup area bunkers to keep you on your toes. At least the sand wasn’t rock hard, I landed in 2 bunkers and got out in one shot each time. I normally shoot high 90s/low 100s for 18 holes, this is a par 70 course and I shot 89 so maybe not the toughest course around, but I was also concentrating harder so I didn’t look like a total know in front of the boss :-)

If I had a Monday off work, it would be $25 well spent.

Great course layout that is in very good nick at the moment.

The $25 for 18 holes on Mondays is a great deal going atm.

Hey Guys, I have played Gosnells a few times of late,Mondays they have $25 green fees which has to be said is fantastic value!!! The course is in top condition, greens are quick without being unplayable and the fairways have a good cover of grass for this time of year, some really strong holes 2,3,7,12,15 for the low handicapper. I found Andrew the pro really helpful,he was saying thay have a new greenkeeper who’s really added a bit of polish to the course!! I live not to far from here and i think i may have found my home course..

Enjoyed the course. Some great holes and in great nick! Was told there have a new Super and he is clearly doing a great job bringing the course up there with the best! Some strong holes eg. 1st, 7th 9th 14th 15th and 18th with the 18th being my fav!

Only downside was The rudeness of the Staff in both the Pro shop and Golf course! Sorry that my game of golf spoiled your day!!!!

Just loved it. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Pro shop was very helpful even though my tee time didn’t appear on his email by the time I arrived.

Hadn’t played here since i was a junior member 8 years ago and the only thing that’s changed is the club house. The course is still immaculate, with quick, but not to quick, greens and lovely green, but firm fairways. I’d recommend to any one who has a spare monday (public welcome on mondays) to play this challenging course.

Played gosnells yesterday on a cloudy and slightly drizzle affected day. Mondays are open to the public, but barely saw another player the whole day. Being a private course, and that I generally play cheap public courses, the expectations were fairly high. The green fees were at $35(only available thru iseekgolf, usually$45) and proved to be of some decent value. As a high handicapper, this course was a little challenging, or maybe that’s my terrible game. Plenty of holes will make u consider your club selection, fairways were in farly good condition( we have had a pretty hot few weeks before we played. Greens were good, fast but not as much movement as first expected. Some thick bush if you miss the fairways, and a good mix of short and long par 4s. Would love to play here again, just wish the bar and facilities had been open(we had to leave to get lunch)

Have just joined up at Gosnells after playing as member of the public on the open days (mondays and fridays). Is starting to come back really nicely after they had an independent course review done. Fairways are looking the best i’ve seen in ages. The greens were cored and sanded about a month and a half ago and are almost back to their best.

Good challenging course with a good mix of long and short par 4’s and tricky par 3’s. Good value for money on the public days. Give it a shot u’d be pleasantly surprised.

I took my mother to the Gosnells Golf Course (private) for the first time while she was visiting Perth from Japan in JUL10. I had taken her almost every public course in SOR, however this course impressed her for the very first time. She said the course was maintained very well and the green was very well kept.

She found it challenging and interesting, also very cheap. ($35 for 18 holes! thanks to the iseekgolf!!) given the fact in Japan she pays $120 for her own membership course and $240-300 as a guest to the private course. She definietly will go back to the course when she comes back, next time with a much better player than me.

Thank you very much!

Played Gosnells last week. Course is in good condition, fairways in good nik and the greens slick and fast. Well worth a round for the $35 that you can get if you book with iseek. $45 if you pay at the pro shop.

Course is in great condition considering the heat we have had here in WA!
Greens are very fast and if the pins are in the "hard to reach" places then very easy to 3 putt.
Good deal on at the moment for anyone who wants to become a member!

played this course a few times in December and was very impressed. the greens were true & fast, in better condition than those of the club i am a member of. some good holes in particular the par 3’s and overall an absolute value for money at $35, was previously $25 so not surprised they put it up, it is well worth it. great big clubhouse too with undercover balcony that overlooks several holes.

PROS

  • course condition
  • value for money

Gosnells GC is a fantastic kikuyu course and a hidden jem of WA. I played it on a wednesday afternoon for $35 and there was hardly anyone on the course.

The layout is long enough to make you drive the ball with confidence, the fairways aren’t as tight as most private Perth clubs, however the approaches required into the greens are both uphill and downhill and your club selection needs to be accurately assessed. The greens are on the quick side but very true and will reward a good putting stroke. There isn’t a huge nimber of bunkers, however the ones that are there are very strategically placed to catch the stray shot.

This course isn’t the hardest in Perth, with reasonably forgiving rough in most places it is very enjoyable to play. The strength of this course I feel is its variety of par 3’s. These are good holes. For undulations and presentation, I give 4.5 stars to Gosnells Golf Club and will definitely be back for competition games.

PROS

  • Undulative layout where strategy and club selection is important

Cons

  • Maybe not as hard and tight as other private courses if you want a real test

Played 18 holes on the 29/12/08. Very nice course and well kept. The temperature was about 38deg so the tree were welcome relief. I would not say it was a overly hard course but still made for enjoyable golf.

Gosnells golf club is a very challening 18 holes with many traps waiting the errent shot. Been redesigned by Graham Marsh and his team, the course has many changes to the layout in the 14 years that I have been a member. All of these changes has made the course a great test of golf of the back markers.

Since the redevelopment of the new clubhouse and the pro shop and the driving range, this must be one of the best private course"s in perth and can only get better in the years ahead. Should you be visiting from the east, a game a golf on a great course should be on your agenda.

Gosnells Golf Club is a stunning course with all the things a true golf course needs.

It is hidden away in the outer districts in Canning Vale where it is not expressed to be the course that it is.

I have been a junior member here for a year and have been very pleased with the quality of this golf course, it's greens are superb with alot of the layout of the course is to catch people out for mistakes what they will later pay for.

Gosnells Golf Course is a hidden beauty that is yet to be set upon by golf fanatics.

Gosnels is a Private Club:

People can me invited by members, a $30 green fee will be applied for 18 holes and a $16.50 green fee will be aplied for non-members who have been invited too.
