A very hilly course, but in good condition. The fairways and greens were excellent and the front nine was very attractive. The start of the back nine (10, 11 & 12) are poor golf holes, but the rest of the back nine is good. The 11th ,in particular, had severe side slopes so there is no way to keep your ball in the middle. Green fees of $24 made it a reasonably priced course. We walked it OK, but it is probably a cart course unless you are fit. The clubhouse was great, with good food and a great vista over a number of holes.

This course only needs more water to be pretty good, there are many interesting holes. However, the fairways suffer through prolonged droughts with preferred lies common but the greens are good (though inconsistent as they’re a mixture of grasses on each nine). The club is friendly and the restaurant excellent.

A pleasant bush course that although quite dry, is still in very playable condition. The day was fine and mild and the reception in the pro shop was much more than usually exepected as a social visitor, so off to a good start before even hitting a ball! At $24 for a round it’s what I’d expect to pay for a country town course.

The course plays 5877m for a par of 36-35=71 (ACR 70). The 10th used to be a par 4 but has been shortened to a 150m par 3 as it parallels a road and apparently too many stray balls were finding their way over the fence. At least the room is still there to move the tee back to a par 4 design in a few years when the trees bordering the course have grown a little taller and thickened out some.

No real standout holes or wow factor about the course just standard grassed fairways, greens and surrounds and enough interest in the design to enjoy the round. Plenty of kangaroos lazing about too.

Make sure that if you intend to play golf in Grafton that you get this course (in south Grafton) not the so-called ‘course’ located in the racetrack in the north of the town.

Grafton is a well established course, offering many challenges for the pro's to the hackers. Not too much water to concern oneself about, but a few strategically placed bunkers, tree lined fairways & some out of bounds can cause havoc to those who stray. Has some hilly sections, but certainly can be walked.

Clubhouse quite inviting with cold beer on tap, pokie area & snooker table. Restaurant open thru the evenings. Big verandah area overlooking the course to sit back & reflect on an enjoyable round of golf.

An interesting course that seems to be getting it's share of renovations with new greens and tees on some holes in recent times. The course wanders up and down and through established gums, which shelter the course's population of lazy roos.

A good collection of par 5s which can be attacked by the longer hitter.

Certainly worth a game.
