Fantastic course. The first hole looks magnificant as you look down the hill with about 200 kangaroos on either dide of the fairway. Course layout is quite nice with some nice par 3’s as well as having some long up hill par 5’s.
Highly recommended

One of the most enjoyable courses I have played in Victoria. Considering the drought the course was lush. Fairways immaculate and greens as true as any municipal course I have played in the world. It was practically deserted when I played so you could actually hear your ball land 200m+ away from the tee. Throw in the relaxed nature of the club and the on-course Roos and for me you have a real hidden gem. The only downside is the length, it is short, with a prevalence of Par 3s. Don’t let that put you off though as the quality of the course for not much more than $20 more than makes us for it

There is a very narrow window in which to get good conditions to play this course. After some winter rain, the ground is wet and soggy and the cups fill with water; during the summer and early Autumn the fairways are hard and the lies can be bare. The soil is hungry, and the quartz in the rough will have you looking twice for your ball. So play it in Spring when the fairways are most likely to have some decent grass cover.

This course is undulating to hilly, and too many fairways either have cross slopes or run straight up and down steep hills. At one point there is an uphill par-5 that is shorter than the downhill par-4 next to it!

In the dry of summer it is impossible to hold the middle of some fairways, and the club resorts on one hole to placing a line of hay bales so your ball won't run off into the rough. From there you take a drop!

The greens tend to be benched into the sides of hills with steep banks at the front, so you need to be long enouigh with your approach. One way to play them is to hit the slope behind and let your ball trickle back down onto the green. There is also a quirky blind par-3 where you've got no idea where you are going and a bell to ring at the end!

Despite all this, it has a certain bush charm, a pleasant clubhouse, a horde of kangaroos to please the visitors and an occasional gem of a hole, like some of the par-3s or the finishing 18th.
