If you want a nice wide open course then Ingletone is it. It's not long, the first hole is a Par 5 which is all of 461 metres. But the right handers had better leave their slice at home or else your in trouble right from the word go. An honest par 72, this course looks a treat with a bit of rain and with the greenery coming through. It can be a bit dry and barren otherwise, and tee up is often the rule for the course. But you will get a lot of run so tee that ball low and enjoy the benefits. The hardest hole is the 400 metre par four 10th, running right next to an out of bounds for the right hand slice. Not overly hard unless you do have trouble hitting it straight. The easiest hole is the 132 metre par three 12th to a tight little oil green protected by an out of bounds to the rear. All in all, a good bit of country oil green golf. There is no trouble getting a beer after if you wish and a call ahead will confirm this. At $2 a round, how can you miss.
