The aforementioned irrigation has made a huge difference to this course, however it is still a winter season course open from April to September. Accuracy is a premium but it is not an overly long course so you don’t need to hit driver on every tee. Par 3’s are longish at 155-190 metres. The course is flat with gentle slopes through the scrapes. All in all it is a good challenge and well worth a try.

A great course. Straight hitters will enjoy a round or two here. If your drive strays beyond the fairway on most holes, you are going to be in trouble with either the dense scrub or out of bounds.
The professional way the club is run (all volunteers) is a credit to all involved from the local community.

This excellent course is closed through summer but plans to irrigate will change this. This years abundant rain has improved the fareways, the course is in fantastic condition. Great layout, well maintained tee boxes and blacks makes for a very challenging and enjoyable day out.
Located only 1.5 hrs from Adelaide. Great area to visit, lovely beaches, great people and of course good golf.

On of the most challenging courses on the Yorke Peninsula. The front nine is fairly open with medium/large trees separating the fairways. The back nine is a completely different matter with lots of ball eating scrub and trees to make finding any errant hit an adventure. There’s no need for bunkers or water as a result.
PROS
- Great social atmosphere, cheap fees & cheap cold refreshments
- Cheap because of all volunteer labour

Despite being established from 1904 the course still offers basic golf facilities with black soil scrapes.
Measures 5851m Par 72 with four par 3s ranging from 155-190m, ten similar-length par 4s ranging from 311-396m and four par 5s ranging from 430-476m.
Kadina is the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula with 4200 people. Course access is from Russak Road…following Digby Street out of the town centre. The clubhouse is on the western side of Russack Road whilst the course is on the eastern side of Russack Road.
Closest grass green course is the Greg Norman designed Copperclub The Dunes at Port Hughes which has 9 holes open at the moment near Moonta. I would recommend to play here instead of any scrape course on the Yorke Peninsula.
Course has 18 black soil scrapes with fairly lush green fairways. The tree-lined wide fairway layout is not too bad with many flags not visible from the tee mound. As you would expect for basic golf facilities the fees are $5. There are no bunkers here but if this had grass greens I would recommend to play here.
