Although not overly long this is a very interesting course. The fairways were reasonable and the greens were good. The front nine is only 3 or 4 years old, but has settled in well and matches the older back nine quite well. An undulating course, but still a comfortable walk. There is water in play on a number of holes, but it is not overwhelming and can be easily avoided. No bunkers on the new nine and only a few on the old nine. Overall good value for money at $20 for 18 holes.

kalbarri Golf Course – Just 750m from the Murchison River this is one country course that will impress..
18 holes fully retic with grass greens. The front nine has been in use for a year or three and looks to be undergoing further development. The Back 9 (the old front 9) is well established and offers great variety without being too long..
The overall layout is much better then I expected, an excellent range of holes par 3’s from 120m to 195m. par 4’s some straight, left and right bent ones and a few straight, water on about 5 holes, not too many bunkers to trap the wayward appraoch. the rough can be testing and in summer could hold some scaley biting things..
I found the greens excellent, maybe a bit slow (could have been due to be cored) but very true and in brilliant condition. difficult to fault any of the 18.
Im not too sure what i expected from the course before I played, maybe I was looking for rough farways, OK greens and club facilities that resembled a few of the local fishing camps, the course is situated in harsh scrubby wind blown costal vegetation not a location you’d expect manuicured fairways/greens.. well, I was very impressed overall. the fariways were in perfect condition, full grass coverage with good run and well looked after by the local volunteers.
The greens, all fed by re-use water, looked smooth with an even cover of grass. A few are procected by wet stuff but nothing too stupid or tough for the avarage player.
The club house is brilliant, cold cold beer and great facilities ony a few years old.
Overall I would recommend Kalbarri as a course you should not miss . Even in windy conditions the course is well worth the $20 … brilliant value!

Besides the flies attacking me non-stop throughout the 9 holes the course is pretty good. The fairways are green and the greens are very fast and well upkept.
The course is mainly built around big trees with a few water features/small lakes.
OVERALL - good

After travelling from further north Kalbarri Golf Club provided a welcome change. The fairways were in fairly good condition, although preferred lies were allowed. The greens were firm and a little slow which is not surprising in this climate. Water is in play on five holes, and the four par 5’s are not overly long. The 7th is rechable in two, bbut water awaits an errant shot to the left or right. A well maintained course that offers good value for money and a friendly welcome.
